Can't have to many thumb drives

Very compact, with an older USB full-size connection on one end and the new Type C connection on the other. This configuration makes it a snap to move files from one type of storage device to another, or one computer to another. Lightning-fast file transfers (unless the files are gimongous).

I like to have around a bunch of 16-32Gb USB 2.0 flash drives for things like boot disks and music.

Ten years of data on my traditional external hard drive is basically on half of the capacity of this drive. And that's only if I add ten years of high-quality video. The drive is at USB 3.1 speeds and it is very easy to carry around compared to an external hard drive. The stainless steel makes it harder to break. It's basically just a plug with a quarter of a terabyte on it.
