Does exactly what it says - it's a bus-powered USB 2.0 4-port hub with a toggle button. There is an option to connect a dedicated power supply if you want to plug in some power-hungry peripherals. For me, I'm using a keyboard, mouse, and dongle, so bus-powered is fine. I use this to swap control between my mac and linux PCs. Works like a charm.
