Performance is as expected, probably the best workstation-class CPU on desktop right now. With a bit curve optimizer tuning, can do 45k score in Cinebench R23 and 15k score in Time Spy Extreme CPU benchmark with only 230W package power reported from HWInfo64. Idle power consumption sits at around 35W on desktop.

- Excellent performance, gained 1000 points on 3DMark Time Spy Extreme compared to the i7-4770k I had - Runs cool at full load. 34c in idle, 60c at full load at 4.9ghz on all cores. Using H100i v2, so I imagine air cooling would also keep the temps at acceptable temps even with overclocking.

Best performance per value. Got in combo deal with motherboard. Very fast single core.

Low power, low temps (40-50c), on the higher side of CPU speeds and finally an upgrade worth buying. OC'ed to 4.6 GHz (24/7 stable gaming rig) I expected a good upgrade and was suprised it turned out even better than I thought.

Pros: Fastest gaming cpu currently, ~$150 less than intel's closest performer at time of purchase. Low heat, I use a cheaper Shadow Rock 3 air cooler from bequiet, and the temps never go above ~72C unless at 100% load (which is very rare for me since I only use it for games). Very low use of power, unlike intel's garbage 250W power suckers, this cpu is usually around ~40-60w while gaming and rarely goes above 70W. Perfect for those like me who lover to tinker with their hardware to get maximum performance Overclocking works great on a lower tier b650 board, but I personally stay undervolted for around the same amount of performance, while using less power, less heat, and less fan noise from my cooler. Very easy to set up and has worked great on my rig for over 7 months now.
