I had a Gigabyte Z690 motherboard on my iBuyPower gaming PC, but I was encountering a lot of issues while gaming, such as the mouse or keyboard not responding, the ethernet connection failing, and microstuttering and crashing of games. I replaced the power supply and memory, to no avail. I even reinstalled Win 11. I finally just replaced the motherboard with this one, and all my problems went away. It feels so good to just have everything working like it should, and I haven't had any issues. The connections were pretty much identical to my Z690 board, so it was an easy swap.
Easy to install Smooth M.2 drive installation Built in I/O shield Great BIOS ui Push connect wifi, not screw In
Plenty of ports and options for any build. Alot of fan plugs and rbg plugs. I love how the pci express is reinforced for the heavy video cards. and the heatsinks are tool less with their own thermal pads. This board is made for cool temps. The led's are nice to. GCC software is excellent with the bios updates and the rgb. Very impressive that they now have GCC. Their software has come a long way from the older style control center.
Its perfect
Excellent bord so far, now that it works.
Wanted a newer board that was second iteration of MB's for the 13th Gen Intel and not first time use for the 14th. So I can't speak to the 14th Gen. -Needed multiple USB Gen 3.2 (check) -Needed USB C that worked when I plugged something in(check) -Got to use previous M.2 SSD's from previous upgrades because of all the slots. -Can't say enough about the quick release/clamp for the M.2 slots. This should be on every board going forward...It just works and I hope over time it continues to just work.
Novice builder. Helped my friend with slow computer. Very easy to flash BIOS. XMP worked flawlessly for RAM, All connectors in right location.
- Lots of USB ports - Lots of M.2 slots - Stunning Looks - Solid build - Fair price considering cost of everything has gone up
he addition of a heavy metal plate at the back and an M.2 SSD heatsink enhances durability and cooling efficiency. Installing an SSD is a breezeno screwdriver needed. The motherboard and CPU fan mount size are compatible with previous generations, eliminating the need for additional upgrades. The new BIOS interface provides more configuration options. Paired with an Ultra i7 processor, the performance nearly matches my i9-14, while temperatures during intensive deep learning tasks have dropped significantly from 70°C to 48°C.
I think this motherboard is awesome money spent to good use. I hope they get arrow lake figured out and speeds past Amd ryzen 7 9800x3d in gaming that would be terrific!
- extremely sturdy - great built on heatsinks - solid state components in the TUF series
New LGA 1851 Lots of room for PCI 5 expansion Onboard BT and WiFi Tons of space for M.2 memory (gen 4 at least)
Fortnite works great with this mobo. I feel that this is a future proof item, should last me years. I hear the OLED screen will be able to display pictures in future BIOS updates.
initally after building it out i flipped the switch and nothing. i troublshooted several things. and still nothing. i even posted a DOA on newegg but today 1dec24 138pm dst. i looked again at 1 issue a 3rd time and corrected something. i am embarassed to say what it was but i corrected it. replugged some components i had previously unplugged and FLIPPED the swich and an OH MY G-D MOMENT OCCURED.! lights fans and after it shutoff briefly and on again SCREEN DISPLAY!. even a multiple times pc builder lik me can F_UP. AND just as an apologetic it took me about 25 hours partially because i kept running into issues mostly fitting components to tower. AND though i had lots of fun doing it it did take me 25hours probably a little less to build the thing. in my defense i was adding components that i was not familiar with and therefore took longer to make do. ... i coulod go on and on and on even making a fool of myself. if i havent already. when i mess up i admit it. and i did. and i corrected it. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> IN CONCLUSION the ASUS PRIME line of mobos does not disappoint specifically the asus prime Z890M-plus WIFI
