Quiet - compared too the original WD Blacks purchase back in 2010. Incidentally those WD Blacks are now RAID in my PC working very well. Speed - has been very good comparable to the WD Black- this is more due to the DS209 than the HD themselves. Temps - stays @ or under 30C under load even.
