The enclosure is actually decent in terms of speed. I was able to get the same CrystalDiskMark results using the enclosure and the bare drive after removal. The price is right for shucking hard drives if that's what you're looking to do. I like that the activity light isn't "surface of the sun" bright. It's a very understated little white light and hardly offensive even in a dark room.
