Fast. Stable. Decent temps
This thing runs at 5.4 K MHz all 6 cores at the same time. Wide open all the time. Using the simple overclock in the bios. By far the best six core Ever and Ever
Processor does not have to work very hard. I run 1440p at 240Hz on a 7900xt and get consistently 240-250 FPS (I have the FPS capped in the game at 240) in COD BO6. Processor runs at about 60% capacity when gaming. I went from a 5900x and an Nvidia 3060 12gb.
- It's a new AMD cpu. With this being said, I do 100% agree that for similar price, you should go with 7800X3D if you're heavy into gaming. - Undervolted to -15mV, and currently running stable (bought it at release).
Doesn't run hot even without water cooler No issues with performance
40000 in passmark
Runs great! Air cooling works fine 24 threads!
Low power draw Good performance Low cost
- I am using an air cooler, and the system runs very quiet and smooth. - Cinebench R23 easily passes 35,000 multicore and 2,271 single-core without overclocking
I wanted to replace my 12th gen I9 in order to get more power, wifi 7 support, higher DDR5 speeds and more importantly, so i could use the 12th gen in my home server after the swap. it ended up being a complete success on all fronts, cinebench 24 went from 1550 pts to 1980 pts (higher core count, cpu and RAM speeda), Wifi 7 drivers work, Gen5 NVMEe is slightly faster as well.
Significant improvement over my previous i7 3770.
This was a replacement for my intel card that was having issues dropping games. After installing not only did it resolve the dropping it also made the games I play run a lot smoother.
I used this i7 in my latest PC build for Music production. It is a nice processor and gets the job done without issue. I am able to run some of my older projects that struggled on my older system without one audio drop out. My system is stable and fast.
