- Works great on a motherboard that supports bifurcation (HP Z440, etc.). For a Z440, the BIOS allows it under slot settings with the x4x4x4x4 setting to split a x16 lane slot into four x4 lane connections. - 4 inexpensive, slower 500gb drives are about 3x as fast as an expensive 2,000gb drive and cost about the same, even with the cost of the Asus HYPER adapter included. - Active cooling works great!
