Features

Features
Tri-Linear Ceramic Content:
Like the original Ceramique, Ceramique 2 uses only ceramic fillers so it is neither electrically conductive nor capacitive. The tri-linear composite of aluminum oxide, zinc oxide and boron nitride allows the thinnest possible bond line with modern processors, heatsinks and electronics. Critically-sized particles and new ultra-high shear mixing techniques maximize Ceramique 2's thermal performance and help maintain a stable homogenous suspension. This exclusive combination provides performance exceeding most metal based compounds.

Polysynthetic Suspension Fluid:
A new oil mixture, improved thermal filler properties and increased particle deagglomeration, dispersal and density enhance Ceramique 2's thermal performance and overall stability. The third generation polysynthetic suspension fluid combines advanced synthetic oils to maximize wetting and stability while allowing a higher density of thermally conductive fillers.

Excellent Stability:
Ceramique 2 is engineered to not separate, run, migrate, or bleed.

Electrical Insulator:
Ceramique 2 does not contain any metal or other electrically conductive materials. It is a pure electrical insulator, neither electrically conductive nor capacitive.

Performance:
2 to 10 degrees centigrade lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads when measured with a calibrated thermal diode imbedded in the CPU core.

Innovative Dispenser:
The amount of compound remaining in the 2.7-gram syringe is easy to determine as the rear of the plunger is perfectly flush with the flange when the syringe is empty.

Easy Clean Up:
Ceramique 2 can easily be cleaned from CPUs and heatsinks with ArctiClean, isopropyl alcohol or any of the cleaners listed in the product instructions.

Compliancy:RoHS Compliant.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome thermal compound

Pros: Effectiveness, bang for you buck, non-conductive

Cons: I had to pay for it.

Other Thoughts: I am in the process of removing heat sinks on video cards and cpu coolers to replace the thermal compound with this stuff. So far, my GTX 660's temps have dropped by 4 degrees Celsius using the stock cooling solution from EVGA and my Q9650 has dropped 3 degrees from whatever compound was on it. The great part is, the Ceramique isn't even broken in yet, so I expect another degree or 3 lower temps.

5 out of 5 eggsThermal Paste At Its Finest

Pros: This stuff does its job well. It's in a syringe type of tube, it's for cooling down a cpu, and its got tri-linear ceramic stuff in it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The compound was more white than silver, which made me distraught as it didn't meet with the aesthetics of my computer build. So Ive cried myself to sleep every other night hoping that as it ages it will turn more silver so I can finally show my friends how colorful my thermal paste is in relation to the top of my cpu.

5 out of 5 eggsCeramique 2 vs Artic Silver 5

Pros: 1- NON conductive
2- Does not turn to dried paste after hours of use (ala cheap brands)
3- Great for replacing cheap CPU thermal compound and GPU thermal compound on graphics cards

Cons: 1- Unless you have CPU/GPU compound spreader can be challenging to apply a thin even coat
2- After all these years thermal compound is still required

Other Thoughts: I use a CPU/GPU thermal compound spreader made by Dynex to evenly apply a thin coat of this stuff, but an old credit/debit card will work quite well too. On an AMD FX-4100 quadcore oced to 4.4Ghz I was using Artic Silver 5, but decided to test Ceramique 2. There was no change in CPU temperature even after hours of gaming. Furthermore, I have used it on Intel processors (removing OEM compound) with similar results. I decided to carefully remove the Gigabyte heatsink on my AMD/Radeon HD 7850 graphics card to find some cheap watery silvery GPU compound (most manufacturers use this cheapo stuff), so I cleaned it all off GPU and heatsink surfaces and applied a thin even coat of Ceramique 2 ....my HD 7850 runs almost 5 degrees Celsius cooler now. The HUGE difference between Ceramique 2 and Artic Silver 5 is if you accidentally smear Ceramique 2 over two solder/electrical points it will NOT cause any electrical damage whereas Artic Silver 5 will. I used to use nothing but Artic Silver 5 , but have switched to Ceramique 2 . Its a great product at reasonable price.

5 out of 5 eggsOnly one i use

Pros: I've used arctic silver exclusively and have never had a problem. As long as your fan is strong enough to cool your CPU, arctic silver well do it's job well.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I used to use lesser brands until I used arctic for the first time. There is a noticeable difference in thermal retention between identical builds when using arctic on one and a lesser brand on the other.
