5 out of 5 eggsGreat after many years. At this price, unbeatable.

Pros: Very very good sound for a headphone at this price point. I bought them for $60 when they were still relatively new almost a decade ago. Very tight and controlled sound. Good mic quality as well which is a welcome addition. Pretty comfortable to wear long-term as they have velour ear pads. Your ears will get hot but not too bad. Have tried many different, more expensive gaming headsets over the years including the top offerings from Razer. Nothing has really beat these. These may lose out in power or bass response, but overall audio quality, musicality, and clarity is better on these than almost any gaming headset $120 and lower. Razer BlackShark, Carcharias, Logitech G230, G430, Turtle Beach, etc. Not cheap headsets.

Cons: Cheap, skinny cable with no stress relief so they break near the headphone jacks. Very teeny tiny wires inside the cables. Plastic coating insulated so a pain to remove the insulation and make a good connection. A general hassle to repair, but not too hard. Cable is very susceptible to interference and line noise as well. Not terrible but easy to tell if you're listening for it.

Other Thoughts: Any pair of proper music headphones $20 and up will most likely totally demolish any gaming headset. Gaming headsets tend to sacrifice audio for other features and gimmicks which is why this Creative Fatal1ty competes so well. Somehow the drivers used and the shape of the cups and a few other details make these sound really nice. Monstrously expensive Astro or Creative gaming headsets maybe better than these, but any dedicated gaming headset anywhere near this price will pale in comparison. Again though, my $60 pair of Sennheiser HD518s totally outclass any gaming headset I've ever heard. As do my $70 Audio Technica ATH-M40x. A fair comparison considering these were $50-70 new. But these totally outstrip my Razer BlackShark purchased for $112 new and Carcharias for $80 new. So a better gaming headset will be hard to find, but better for music are everywhere. I won't even go into my more expensive headphones. These are $20, not $200.

1 out of 5 eggsPassable, until the headphone plug shorts out.

Pros: - Detachable Microphone

Cons: - Cheap
- Using the mute switch gives an audible click through the microphone. This can be heard in recordings and VOIP.
- Headphone plug has shorted out, and no longer works at all. Second pair to do so of two pairs bought in this household. I expect any other pair will do the same.

Other Thoughts: - AVOID THIS PRODUCT. Would not recommend this to anyone, even for free. Spend the extra money for a superior headset or independent headphones/microphone. Next time, I'll be getting plain headphones and a separate microphone, and NOT from Creative.
- Nearly gave this product two eggs, but I can't think of any redeeming qualities. Not even a detachable mic makes up for the poor quality of this product. One egg, and not a shell fragment more.

4 out of 5 eggsGood sound, Soft padding for the ears

Pros: The sound is good. Bass sounds great, everything is clear. Padding for the ear is nice and soft, yet still firm at the same time. The mic can be unplugged to get out of the way when not needed. Example: when watching a show and eating. I wore these for about 10 hours straight, binge watching Netflix. With exception for bathroom breaks and a run to the fridge for snacks.. Playing games and the sound was crisp and helped in positioning the enemy. the cord is long and allows me to comfortably sit on the couch and enjoy my pc, without disturbing others..

Cons: The ear piece sits on top of the ear, rather than cup around the ear.. My ears seem to feel a little warm after a few hours or movie watching, but no discomformant from it. I just prefer the ear to be cupped, rather than have them resting on the ear itself. The mic is kind of weak. I had to really boost up the mic to pick up my voice, without yelling into it.. But it does work. :/

Other Thoughts: All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. This is my 1st headset with a mic. I've been a headset player for roughly 8 years now without a mic. I'd purchase this exact model again if I needed another pair in the future.. For the price and the length of the cord, it is a no brainer..

4 out of 5 eggsgood and cheap

Pros: cheap, long cord, pretty comfortable

Cons: only thing I don't like is that the audio and mic cord are too close to one another. your only option it to plug it into the front or back ports, where as I prefer to plug the audio into my speaker, but that's just me.

4 out of 5 eggsVERY Cheap and fragile lasted 3 months 16 days

Pros: The sound quality was decent not amazing though. The headphones are not tight on my head and can be adjusted to fit anyone. Padding is soft and I can wear them without discomfort for 10+ hours.

Cons: I am a little rough with the headphones so these problems might be from that.
- The spot where you turn on and off the mic if I squeeze that section the left speaker goes out then comes back in.
- The mic was very unreliable it would go from being good to terrible even putting the mic an inch away from mouth would be barely a whisper with headphone volume max and windows volume mixer near max. If you need a mic don't rely on this one.

Other Thoughts: These headphones are my first to use daily. These are only $20 or less so I don't care or expect them to last more than one year. If this set causes me to really like headphones I will buy a $70 set. These are budget introductory gaming/performance headphones.

EDIT: The left speaker has failed completely. The rubber surrounding the cord was not connected to the mic plastic housing so it got loose and the wires are exposed. I bought a $100 pair of Audio Technica M40X headphones they have better sound, bass, and build quality.

4 out of 5 eggsHeadset

Pros: Sounds good and Mic works nice

Cons: Tight on the head only after a bit. I don't have big ears so it's just the foam is hard and the top doesn't bend good.

Other Thoughts: Cheap and does the trick, might have to see if I can do any work to make them sit with less pressure.
