5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Headset

Pros: This is a great headset for gaming. The sound is very clear and you can hear the little things developers add in games and it creates a pretty immersive environment. The actual hardware was surprisingly sturdy and handled pretty bad abuse along with moving across several states.

Cons: This bad boy finally died on me recently after owning it for over a year and I'm not very nice to headsets, so this isn't really a con. If you take care of your stuff, these will last you a good 2-3 years I would think.

The mic is pretty awful because you have to practically make out with it for people to hear you, but on the upside - they can't really hear what's going on in the background, which is a HUGE plus. Regardless, I shouldn't have to lick the piece for people to hear me. This isn't a gigantic problem for me, so no egg off.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother trying to listen to music on these if you're an audiophile. It took massive tweaking to get the sound just right, but this isn't really a con because, well, these aren't meant for music.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent quality, when it works

Pros: Sound is good quality for a $30 headset, and mic is too.

Cons: When I first plugged it into my front audio port (headphone cable only) it worked fine, except that every 5 minutes or so, the audio goes out for like 2 seconds. When this happens, certain programs like windows media player stop working, and a few games lose audio until i restart it. When the mic is plugged in and on, the audio cuts out like every 1 sec for about 2 seconds, and mic doesnt work. Now, when plugged into the rear audio ports, everything works fine. and i know the front audio ports are fine cuz my other headphones work fine. Aside from those issues, the cable is stiff and seems fragile at the ends. the wires in the cable at the headphone jack are damages, as bass of any kind only works when the cable is bent back. I plan on getting a refund when the audio stops working entierly, and will spend my money elsewere.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality, Avoid

Pros: -Light

Cons: -Bad quality. The sides of the headphones were constantly rattling every time I turned my head slightly.
-Wires were shorter than others I have used.
-Sound quality is somewhat worse than similarly priced headphones.
-Mic output isn't as nice as equally priced or slightly higher priced headphones.

Other Thoughts: I had so many problems with this headset, and despite thinking of replacing them before they broke I didn't, but it only took about 10 weeks before the mic stopped working completely. I would have been very upset if I paid full price for them, but luckily I didn't.

I'd recommend looking into Seinhesser which is what I used to replace these and I was totally shocked at the quality of their headphones for what I paid for them, zero complaints.

5 out of 5 eggsWould recommend

Pros: Worked instantly, lasted over a year of heavy usage until the sound finally died in one ear. Fantastic quality and very comfortable. Would probably get one again.

Cons: Uhh.. my hair got caught in the swiveling part above the ears often. That's about it.

Other Thoughts: Might've even been my fault that it died, in which case it would've lasted even longer. Just buy this, okay?

3 out of 5 eggsWould not reccomend

Pros: It worked while it lasted. Quality of sound was mediocre. Mic worked surprisingly well.

Cons: It has a very cheap feel, probably because it is a cheap build.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for? Something with the inline volume/mic control died out on in after about a year, which made the whole thing worthless.

Your mileage may vary, but I wasn't impressed.

3 out of 5 eggsNot too bad. But not the best.

Pros: Pretty good sound overall, pretty comfortable. Mike sounds pretty good. In-line controls.

Cons: Product description said they were 3D-positionning enable, but they are *NOT*. (I plan on getting a refund for this reason.) Design is kind of ugly, and I personally don't like the feel of the cloth (or velvet, or whatever they call it.) and think it feels cheap. Cord is way too long for its purpose.

Other Thoughts: All in all not a horrible product. If you can get it on sale as I did, it may be a pretty good buy if you need a simple cheap headset. I couldn't decide between the other 300 models available around the price range so I just went for this one, and don't have any specific regrets except the cheap feel of the cloth (and lack of advertised 3D positioning.) Detachable mike and inline controls a definite plus.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: Great sound quality, comfortable fit, good mic. Don't let the price tag fool you- it performs well outside of its price range.

Cons: Nothing yet

Other Thoughts: Be mindful it doesn't have a USB end. This is great for me but if you use a sound system with your machine it may require some clever configuration.

4 out of 5 eggs2 yr report

Pros: Has stood the test of time, gaming for the last 2 years. I would recommend and purchase again.

I really hope they don't change the manufacture quality.

Cons: The lapel switch makes a noticeable sound on teamspeak. After two years, the boom mike foam cover is getting a bit old. Would love to replace if I could figure out how to get a new one.

Other Thoughts: This is a report after two years of use.
