2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The price

Cons: They sound very tinny

The mics ok its an improvment from my 2.99 mic.

The around the ear cushioning is not a big enough diameter to go around the outside of my ears so not good if u have big ears and or are tall, i'm 6'4" with average ears.

I ordered the sennhieser g4me one headset instead.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money.

Pros: Comfortable around the ears, removable mic is handy.

Cons: The sound quality is definitely not great. I get better sound quality out of my iphone earbuds. There also seems to be a strange issue where, when my headset is muted, it will start to broadcast any sound my computer plays (i.e., windows sounds, or even music I play). The removable mic is good, and it seems to pick up voice well and not any ambient noise, but I wish it were a little longer and flexible but also stay in place once I bend it. I found myself having to readjust it several times in a gaming session. In my opinion, buy better ones for 20-30 dollars more, you'll probably enjoy those way more, and it will be far better value for your money.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Microphone

Pros: -Headphone quality is about what you'd expect for this price range
-Earpieces are moderately comfortable
-Inline volume and mic mute is helpful
-Cord length

Cons: -The Microphone

Microphone is simply way, way too quiet. I tried using the headset with both desktop onboard sound, internal PCI soundcard, and on a laptop. I've enabled mic volume to 100% and mic boost to even 30% depending on what sound card I was using. All drivers are up to date. Across the board the mic only pics up a faint whisper of my voice. I researched online and this might be due to the built-in noise cancelling in the mic itself. Either way I'm going to pick a different product. Product receives two stars because the headphones itself aren't too bad.

4 out of 5 eggsBest headphones I've ever had

Pros: - Great sound for the price. Deep, full bass and clear, rich mids and highs.
- mic sounds very clear, is adjustable and DETACHABLE
- Velvet ear cups are like a soft head hug.
- nice cord length
- lightweight and very comfortable for long periods of use
- They don't squish your head in a vice like many headsets do (good for people who wear glasses)
- they look pretty nice too

Cons: - The light weight can make them feel fragile (though I've abused these for 5 years and only now breaking down)
- detachable mic can be easily lost if you're not careful
- velvet ear coverings are more difficult to clean than vinyl or leather
- inner covering over the speakers can rub against outer ears requiring some getting used to at first.

Other Thoughts: I've owned many cheap headphones for computer use and thought they were fine. Then I put these on for the first time and was blown away by the deep, full sound. I started hearing things in games, movies and music I had never heard before. Yes, high end expensive headphones might have better sound but for the low price these are fantastic.
I've had these for around 5 years now and used them every day for work, gaming, movies and music and I've even thrown and slammed them down a number of times in gamer rage and they've kept right on performing. Only now are they finally wearing out with the left speaker cutting out intermittently (which I think happens to all headsets eventually).
So now I'm here at Newegg to buy a new set.
As long as you don't get a bad apple, you should love these headphones.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: The sound is average. They fit comfortably not squishing my ears.

Cons: Cord became stiff and brittle after about 6 months, after which it broke in several places exposing the wires. Especially bad around the volume control. The sound now fades in and out depending on how the cord is bent. Very frustrating.

Mic seems to pick up additional noise when simply moving my head around.

Other Thoughts: This is not a product I will purchase again or ever recommend.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet..... Too quiet

Pros: Works GREAT on my Fatal1ty MoBo and had no problems installing or using

Cons: This Microphone is too quiet. At the max volume for the headset and the max in my Control Panel sound settings, decibel level, and volume mixer is like someone talking to me from across my house. still worth the money, but take the volume into consideration

Other Thoughts: Microphone piece is separate but not replaceable?

4 out of 5 eggsCreative Fatal1ty Headset

Pros: This is the best headset I have own to date. Very happy with High quality sounds coming out of this headset. Headset looks beautiful. I use it for gaming. The company warehouse delivery service is amazing. It arrived in 2-3 days.

Cons: Headset looks and feels very delicate. I am afraid of the wire longevity, it looks fragile too. Sound is kind of low. Other than this very happy with purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: The sound is not going to win awards but it works. I have had sets that cost hundreds that did sound better but honestly these sound pretty good. Much better than I was expecting. They are sturdy if you are not rough with them.

Cons: The little foam tip of the microphone desperately wants to escape and I am constantly hunting for it.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again, it sounds good and when I game with friends they say I sound good .... so its good enough for me.
