3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Very Comfortable
- Lightweight
- Fits a variety of head sizes (and shapes :P)
- Decent sound quality
- Microphone quality is the best you'll get for 20 bucks.
- Doesn't feel or look cheap

Cons: - I was under the impression that these were over-the-ear, but they are not.
- Sound quality is nowhere near as good as the LifeChat LX3000.
- The cord is very thin to a scary degree.

Other Thoughts: You'd definitely be better off paying an extra 10 dollars for the Microsoft LifeChat LX3000, but if you just can't, these are still the best choice of a headset for $20.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat mic, poor speakers

Pros: The microphone is very high quality for this low cost headset. The split in the speaker/mic cord is just long enough to plug the mic into the tower and the headphones into an aftermarket speaker jack, but not so far up the cord that it's annoying.

I was surprised at how comfortable these were. I usually wear bigger muffs so there's no pressure on my ears, but these actually hurt less than my 'good' headphones.

The mic swivels nicely out of the way.

Cons: The speakers seem to be a bit overdriven on the highs and lows, and leave the mids a but under toned. The low end comes through nice and punchy and is substantial bass (for headphones) but the highs leave my ears hurting. Overall sound quality of the speakers is quite poor.

Other Thoughts: A better set of speakers would greatly improve this product. Not recommended for listening to music, only gaming for the great mic.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: First - The price, Second- The quality of Sound. One would be SERIOUSLY hard pressed to find a better headset for the price. I hear sounds in BF2142 that I never could hear before. There is a depth of quality with these headsets as well as comfort. I am pleased with the headsets.

Cons: I guess you could say the cord is a bit thin. I would also take care with the headsets themselves. If someone was extra rough on them they could break.

Other Thoughts: Others report that the mic is a bit soft, (although clear). I did not have any issues at all with the mic.

4 eggs for price and quality for price.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Headset

Pros: The headset I am currently on has served me for about 3 years, and it is still going strong. This is my second headset and the only reason why my first one broke was because someone had dropped it on the floor badly and snapped the wire out of the headset. And I have dropped my current one several times now I have to kind of "find" the sweetspot were I can hear out of both ears.

Cons: Nothing really, could be a little fragile, but other than that it's a great, great headset.

Other Thoughts: CS for 7 1/2 years. Same headset for all those years.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: Long cord, cumfy. Can withstand long gaming sessions.

Cons: nope

Other Thoughts: I have a big head, and I'm not all the way at the end of the extenders like I am on most headwear. I believe it would fit anyones nugget.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: -Cost
-Comfort, I can wear this for a few hours easily.

Cons: -Cord seems a bit short
-Color coding on jacks hard to see in low light

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Circumaural Headset that I dusted by rolling over the USB jack with my chair. Overall, I'm happy with the switch.

3 out of 5 eggsI expected better

Pros: It's cheap, and it's built like a rock. There's no breaking this one.

Cons: The only flaw I find is a huge flaw. When the microphone is plugged in, I can hear myself speaking. Sort of a slight echo. I thought it was just the stupid onboard sound card, but the headset did the same with three computers.

Other Thoughts: Not worth my money, but it gets the job done anyway.

3 out of 5 eggsOk for the price

Pros: Good sound quality, excellent bass for headphones. Mic is adequate for games, skype, etc. Long cord.

Cons: Mic has a bit of feedback while on. A slight buzz is audible. Not too much of a problem, just mute it when not in use.
Main reason for the 3-egg rating is that these are quite uncomfortable. If a pair of headphones is marketed as circumaural, it should be circumaural, not semi-circumaural (And no, I do not have unusually large ears). I have to shift them back and forth while using, to avoid a dull pain in my ears and temples.

Other Thoughts: Overall, not bad for the price. However, next time I might pay more and hopefully get a more comfortable headset.
