1 out of 5 eggsComplete garbage

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: None

Cons: The sound quality is mediocre at best. Sounded worse than my previous Corsair headset. The range on wireless is laughable, and it frequently would drop. After 2 months the wireless stopped working completely and I was forced to use it as a corded headset. The software is garbage and resets fully to default settings every time the headset disconnects. Logitech apparently doesn't know how to program a "save" function. After about a year of use (most of that time as a corded headset when I paid for wireless) it stopped working completely. I should have bought a cheap $20 corded headset instead, same thing but a fraction of the cost. Would have probably lasted longer too.

Other Thoughts: The software Logitech uses for all it's products is really poor. Owning multiple peripherals causes it to malfunction. I own a Logitech mouse and keyboard with extra buttons and attempting to rebind the buttons on one will bind the buttons on the other as well. I can no longer use the extra keys on my keyboard because of this. I should have bought a Razer mouse instead. For the headset, it will reset to default settings every time it disconnects (which is quite often). I hate sidetone, didn't even know it was a thing until this headset kept forcefully setting it super high even after I turned it down. Very annoying to have redo the setting every few minutes, with how often it disconnects. This is the last Logitech product I will ever buy.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst headset I've ever owned

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: It works most of the time.

Cons: Constantly disconnects and disrupts output with a sharp ping noise
EVERYTHING BREAKS? The microphone fell apart. I had to take it apart and tighten it.
The joints that pivot the ears crack.
The Drivers that came with it are better than updated ones, as they updates remove functionality of the device entirely. (had to learn that the hard way)
When the power goes out and you plug it in the buttons dont work unless you restart it off the charger.
The fake leather on the ear pads degrade rather quick.
I was never rough with this thing, maybe dropped it twice from a sitting distance.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy this garbage. Logitech will never see another dime from me again.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: Seems like it's built well, nice sound quality when it works.

Cons: More than 3/4 the time this headset is super quiet even when windows sound and game sound are maxed out. There's consistent buzzing when no sound is being played. Every once in a while I'll hear random sounds as if a wire is being crushed. Sometimes, windows and other applications won't even recognize the headset. Definitely not worth the money.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible product, do NOT buy

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: - it's wireless

Cons: - This headset constantly cuts in and out
- The battery is very poor and requires charging daily
- Headset screeches and makes static noises

Other Thoughts: For $200, do not buy this headset. This headset has known issues (check logitech support site) and they're still being sold.

3 out of 5 eggsFavorite Headset

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: 8-9 hour Battery Life
Sizable range (Covers all floors and basement of my house without problem)
Price

Cons: Poor Construction: Something will always end up breaking. Either the microphone will crack, the supports that hold the head-bar to the ear-cups will break as its made of a thin plastic holding in a metal piece. The charging port might break its soldering and then you could loose charging or awkwardly sound to one side.

Other Thoughts: Many people complain about it having the inability to connected. I have encountered this, but found out the number one cause is if you have WiFi on that computer. Somehow some kind of interference?

1 out of 5 eggsConstant connectivity issues and bad software/drivers

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: -Sounds is okay
-Pretty Comfortable
-Mic works

Cons: -You will constantly battle connection loss even at very close range.
-Their software and drivers for this headset keep getting worse and you will have to download the old version with bad UI just to get the headset to not constantly lose connection.
-Sometimes I would turn the Logitech software off just to get a better connection but they you lose controls on the headset.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted to have a wireless headset that didn't break the bank but now I wish I just stuck with wired or spent more money. These things need to be discontinued.

2 out of 5 eggscomfy and sounds good hindered by poor battery life

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: - very comfy, even during extended usage
- better than average sound
- mic sound quality is also above average
- can be used while charging via USB
- decent wireless range

Cons: - by far the worst thing is the annoyingly low battery life. I've charged and recharged this thing only to have the battery last at best 3 to 4 hours. powered off and charged overnight, I return to work in the morning only to turn on my headphones and find out that they are on "low battery". I end up using them while charging which takes a few hours, but totally defeats the purpose of being"wireless".
- software is buggy (windows 10), needs a manual edit to a file to keep the device from constantly disconnecting/reconnecting

Other Thoughts: I cannot recommend this product mostly because of the poor battery life and inconvenient text file hack to make the device work.

2 out of 5 eggscheap

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: Sound good
easy to program buttons
easy use equalizer

Cons: Cheap plastic

Other Thoughts: Bought it almost a year ago and since ive got it i spent almost as much time using it as i have gluing it back together. First thing that broke was the forks holding the speakers to it. Then, where the for meets the speaker enclosure, then the mic wouldnt stay up then the whole left enclose just falling out of the head band.

1 out of 5 eggsThe worst headset I've ever had the misfortune of buying

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: I liked the fact that the band is metal. Less likely to snap while putting it on or taking it off.

Cons: Poor mic quality.
The wireless cuts out every few minutes on a good day for 20-30 seconds at a time. On a bad day, it will sit there and go through a disconnect/reconnect cycle for hours.
The headset will also turn itself off after a few minutes if you mute it and aren't talking. This can be disabled, but not from the GUI. You have to edit a config file on the hard drive and restart the driver.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this headset to anyone. It is single-handedly responsible for my vow going forward to never buy another wireless peripheral ever again. It isn't dependable on a good day, and doesn't even work at all on a bad one. This device is so poor quality I get frustrated even seeing it on the desk. I want to sell it and get some of my money back, but the guilt of forcing this thing on someone else is killing me.I certainly can't sell this to anyone I like.

4 out of 5 eggs4/5 - Great Headset - Have owned 2 pairs.

This review is from: Logitech G930 USB Connector Circumaural Wireless Gaming Headset

Pros: - Comfortable
- Reasonably Priced
- Wireless
- Warranty
- Life Span

I just recently purchased my 2nd G930. Now before people think "Wow, he's rating his a good headset but he's already had to purchase another?" Yes, my first G930 was purchased in 2012 and it lasted me nearly 4.5 years. I've NEVER owned a headset that's made it past the year and a half mark. I know some people have issues with this headset and it definitely has some flaws but for the price, I dealt with them. I know of headsets that are 2x the price of the G930 and have the same software issues that the G930 had.

Cons: - Software, Software, Software. The random disconnects suck but I dealt with them.

Other Thoughts: - Will keep buying the G930 as long as they continue to produce them.
