2 out of 5 eggsGood at first

Pros: Fast memory out of box!!

Cons: One stick went bad after 6 months. My computer would constantly freeze and emit loud noises. I had no idea it could be this at first but after trial and error I narrowed it down to one stick. Shame I spent so much on these

Other Thoughts: Overall most seem to have good luck with these. I would have loved these if they didn't cause me so much headache. I will avoid mushkin from now on.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldnt have asked for better

Pros: Runs great at 1600Mhz but decided to bring down to 1333 in order to bring in tighter timings (6-6-6-17). I will buy Mushkin from now on.

Cons: Ive been waiting for a long time for newegg to get this item in stock and now it is but for 40 bucks more lol, at the time of purchase I believe it was 120 and that was a great price, I will still buy but now I will wait lol.

Other Thoughts: Had to set timings manually in the bios, for anyone buying ram and especially high performance ram, this shouldnt be an issue.

Pros: I purchased this last year for my 1 build and it has performed flawless.

Cons: I returned to purchase another set and product was deactivated. Now it has returned for $40.00 more.

2 out of 5 eggsSo So...

Pros: Black finish for my all black interior build was cool.

Newegg's RMA process is awesome....Who needs Best Buy and their in-store harassment and profiling disguised as customer service.

Cons: Unfortunately the RAM was not compatible with my new build.

2 out of 5 eggsUnstable & wont overclock

Pros: great ratings, works at set settings (or so i thought) heat spreaders are attractive and effective.

Cons: unstable. I was getting a blue screen crash once every 2 days or so with about 8 hours of use each day. i figured it was a driver problem since it was so rare. last night i ram memtest+ for 8 hours just to see if there was anything wrong, sure enough in 8 hours there was one lonely error. but apparently that one error is enough to crash my computer.

also, doesnt overclock AT ALL. i couldnt make these run even 1/2 stable at anything over 1600 Mhz even when i loosend the timings to 9-9-9! all i wanted was a 44Mz OC (+6 fsb so i could get my cpu to 4GHZ without raising multiplier). is that really so much to ask at this point in price?

Other Thoughts: id prefer to RMA with newegg since they rule but since the problem wasn't all the time it took me a while to track it down. im gonna try mushkin support, and see what they will do for me.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I recently bought another one of these kits to bring my new 64 bit Windows machine to 8 gigs. I am very satisfied with both sets. Both are stable at fast speed, take heat very well, and have given me no trouble.

Cons: Though they seem to handle heat well, they themselves get very hot. The heat spreaders can make for a tight fit. They're also fairly expensive. I had to set speed and timing manually, which isn't a big deal if you know what you're doing.

Other Thoughts: Some AM3 boards/AMD CPUs seem to have problems running stable with 1600mhz RAM. MY system constantly froze at that setting, but running at 1333mhz I am able to loosen the tmings to 6-6-6-18 with no problems. I can't take a point away for something not Mushkin's fault.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory!

Pros: This memory is fast! I researched for weeks all the different brands and bought these because of the reviews. They run as advertised in my XPS 730 with a little configuring (7-7-6-18 @ 1600FSB, 1.85V). Ran Prime95 with no problem for 5 hrs. I haven't overclocked yet, but i deffinately will try! Overall i'm pleased with this memory and will probably buy again.

Cons: My mother board didn't pick up the setting, but it was no big deal to go into the bios and change them. If this happens to you, then a good understanding of memory times will be usefull...and is the reason for only 4 eggs.
Also, the price was little high, but this is one the fastest DDR3 memory i could find for the speed and price. So, I guess that really couldn't be considered a con....

Other Thoughts: Dell XPS 730, 790i Ultra SLI chipset, Intel Q9650
