1 out of 5 eggsDiscontinue Already

Pros: Work well for awhile, no problems at all easy to install.

Cons: None really with the items until one failed then what a pain to get an RMA from Kingston no replacement from them but repair what the only option.

Other Thoughts: Corsair and Gskill the memory fails you get replacement so do your research before you buy. Quick note, I used to be and avid Kingston memory buyer looks like not anymore

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Jess,
I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer some clarification. This model of HyperX memory was released in June 2011 and was discontinued May 2014. Typically, if we still have stock of a particular discontinued part it can be replaced, otherwise the memory would come in for repair. If we are unable to repair said memory then we would look for a comparable replacement if we do not already have a listed replacement part for the module. Should you have any issue with the memory, feel free to call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.

3 out of 5 eggsKingston Ram

Pros: It is still working fine 2 years later.

Cons: The unjustified outrageous pricing now, 3 times as much as when I got this under 2 years ago. 2 eggs deducted for this insanity.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic RAM

Pros: Works very well for my Gaming Build! my first gaming build ever! I did a lot of research. This RAM workes flawlessly! A friend of mine bought some corsair fancy vengence Brand And it showed up DOA, not my Kingston Hyper X, also I have a Kingston SSD and it works very well as well. Good luck, hope this helped your shopping for components!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: I picked up this RAM on a great Newegg Deal. I bumped from 8 to 16GB ram with this set and it's been excellent for me. I now use Hyper V to spin up VMs at will without memory concerns. It's not the fastest RAM you can get but for the price point it's spot on.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've been using it for over a year and it's never had a flaw. The latency isn't much of an issue for me and for an inexpensive RAM bulk up to assist with VM's this has been just what I needed.

5 out of 5 eggsNew favorite memory manufacturer!

Pros: Fast! Heatsinks are surprisingly well built, despite how the pictures make them look. Very flexible for over clocking, more so than the G Skill and Geil products.

Cons: None at all. Price was right and the performance is more than adequate.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this memory for my second/backup gaming PC. I quickly realized that this memory at 1600Mhz, out performs my G. Skill Ripjaws X DDR3-1866. This is the first Kingston product I have purchased and will be preferring this over G. Skill or Geil in the future!

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast Memory

Pros: I've been using this memory kit for over a few months and never had any issues with them. I am very impressed with Kingston's products and hope they keep up with an awesome job as well. The XMP Profile on my motherboard easily detected the memory and I did not have to configure anything they worked right out of the box.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have the memory installed in a custom PC I've built for decent gaming until my quad core gets here which will be in a few days.

My System Specs
AMD Athlon 370k (will be AMD Athlon 750k in a few days)
Asrock FM2A75M-HD+
8 GB Kingston Memory Kit
XFX Radeon R7 260X 2 GB GDDR5
EVGA 600B 80 plus bronze Power Supply
