hansrotec 5/14/2013 1:06:08 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5full featured - great for NAS or server Pros: I own two of these, one in use for freenas, two NICs, and 9 sata ports make it very versatile. the second is in use on my main tower though it will be swapped and moved to a server in the next few months (xeon support is Rocks) Cons: I will say USB on the last non beta BIOS has given me issue, i tried the Beta, and had video issues, flashed back and ram issues seem to be gone, voltage regulation seems lax should have been 2 intel NICs would have been worth the extra cost... one of my buddies had an earlier version of the board with the different spacing on the ram slots, had to RMA his board 4 times, still would not give him a working revision. The error messages on the LED are very helpful as well, since the mobo comes with a very comprehensive manual. Cons: I had to replace the 3V CR2032 battery on the mobo about a month into ownership. Thought it was my PSU but I jump started it and it was fine. Don't know why Gigabyte would sell a board with a half-dead battery, so I'm taking an egg off for that. Can be easily hackintosh'ed, connectors are all in the "right" place. Cons: one of the USB3 plugs made installing the first Video card a bit difficult. simply disconnecting and reconnecting it afterwards worked. just an insignificant design flaw. Cons: None Other Thoughts: I installed this board over 9 months ago and had no issues. Last month I did have an issue with not being able to boot to the Bios. I Rma'd the board and it was returned to me repaired and in perfect condition in 11 days. I must say the gigabyte RMA process was quick and painless. I am very happy with this motherboard. Still exploring... Cons: the Backplane have some connections right in between two heat sink fasteners, which gives little Hard time if you're going to use water cooler. The BIOS is easy to navigate and the board features are outstanding. One other big plus is Gigabyte technical support is SUPURB. I mean no waiting and intelligent responses to quickly fix problems. Cons: only con is it has too little USB 2.0 (only two) Other Thoughts: Becsaue it has 12 phases, so i has very stable OC, I OC my i7-3770K to 4.5 Ghz with out any problem, and i can still go higher than that (with H100i cooler).
