1 out of 5 eggsUpdate: 2 years and now it dies

Pros: I finally got it back after 21 days and 2 phone calls.

Cons: The motherboard still locks up. I called Gigabyte and the technician explained that they changed out the BIOS and they tested it and it passed....... WRONG!!!!! When it boots it will not see anything plugged into the USB ports and will not recognize any hard drives. I have tried SSD and SATA HDD drives and nothing.

Other Thoughts: I have another 1156 board from @$uS and my processor and memory work fine in it. Its a shame to build a computer only to replace the parts and get nowhere. What good is a 3 year warranty when the company that has it does not honor it? I re-sell computers everyday and Gigabyte has always been my choice of board. I am disappointed right now in Gigabyte and their tech staff. I now have a Intel Core i5 750 Quad Core Processor that does not have a home and a GTX 560 TI GPU that does not have a board to game on. I guess I have to buy one of these 3rd rate boards.

1 out of 5 eggs2 years and now it dies

Pros: Great and easy to setup. Overclocks well. System was stable while it worked. Lots of options for the guy who wants this to run his HTPC

Cons: motherboard burned out after 2 years & 9 days. So goes the life of a motherboard.

Other Thoughts: No signs of burn marks nothing. Was playing a video game one day and the system froze up. It supposed to have a 3yr warranty, let's see if Gigabyte can help a brotha out. If they take care of me I'll write another review. BTW, my 1 egg review has nothing to do with NewEgg, they are a great company to deal with.

3 out of 5 eggsPower up / LED Fan Problem

Pros: It is very modernize and has lot of components that would make this a good deal sense this board avereage around 70 to 100 bucks and its a 1156.

Cons: Overly too picky and manufacture isn't about anything when comes to answering the questions.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people have had the trouble with the board getting power to where it flickers for two seconds shuts down and reboots.

Heres the answer to everybody question it is the psu that you are using. A lot of people said they tried this already....it seems alot of people including me like to buy big cheap psu of course that means the gaming psu. If you notice the voltage switch on the back is different.

The average psu uses 110 and a 220. Most gaming psu are 115 and 230. So try the 110 and 220 and make sure it is set on 115 then everything should work

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mobo

Pros: Fully featured board for this pricepoint.
ALC889 onboard sound
Every known video output including DP
Easy to use bios.
Oc's like a bat out of hell!
It's a Gigabyte!

Cons: None i've encountered

Other Thoughts: I bought this board over 2yrs ago for $75 Shellshocker.
It has been rock solid.
Have no idea why there are so many negative comments.
I've changed the ram and even upgraded the cpu.
Not even a hiccup.
I own 3 Gigabyte mobo's and not one has given me any problems.

1 out of 5 eggsThis board is worth less than half its price.

Pros: When it finally started to work it worked decent

Cons: Its picky about every piece of hardware you can think of. Took me 3 PSU just to figure out that this board was not a total failure. Knowing that this was a bad board i gave in anyway and stuck with i. Big mistake, i can't list all the small problems i had with this board. Putting the pc to sleep would cause the pc to restart endlessly. Came home today to a dead board and on top of that i had just bought a 3D Monitor yesterday lol.. Leave it up to this piece of junk to die on me at the worst time.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what it is about these 1156 M ATX boards but the majority of them seem to have huge flaws. This board being the worst though.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after

Pros: Was a great motherboard while it lasted, seems it often dies between 1 - 2 years. and starts rebooting over and over again.

Cons: If your video card is large you may have a difficult time getting to the cmos clear (if you should ever have to) without taking the video card out.

After having for around 1 1/2 - 2 years it died. Keeps rebooting over and over again will not even post. After testing power supply etc.. determined the mobo is bad.

Other Thoughts: None that I can think of.
