5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm.

Pros: - Lots of mounting holes.
- Nicely spaced out board.
- Runs cooler than my last mobo.
- Plenty of SATA, USB, PCI, and PCI-E ports.
- Nice price; cheap but awesome
- Easy installation.

Cons: -None really.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to install in a new case after my last mobo died. Runs everything like a charm.

2 out of 5 eggsCould be good board, BUT!

Pros: Newegg!

Cons: I had problems with board right from the start. PCI slots were DOA. I spent two days trying to get them working but only got one working. I contacted Gigabyte and their response was pretty much a copy and paste from an FAQ list. I had already done everything they told me to do and if they would have read my email, they would have known it. No response to additional tech support help!

To bad. I have used Gigabyte for years without problems.

Everything else about this board was positive. Stable, quick, and an easy build.

Other Thoughts: Using onboard video put a huge drag on the system speed as it shared 512mb of system ram.

Some of the board utilities didn't work. I found where there was an issue with Vista on this.. Really don't care since I am returning it.. :(

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: This is the 1st Gigabyte motherboard I have ever owned and this is the most trouble free build on record for me. This piece has performed as advertised and expected. I replaced an Asus board because I could not get it to install Windows 7 on dual boot. After setting up the platform for dual boot the operating system would not install so I replaced my motherboard and memory expecting a need to reformat and reinstall Windows XP to complete dual boot. To my surprise the install picked up where the Asus board earlier stalled and it has been running nearly trouble free for 3 months.

Cons: After installing a video card the bios did not automatically detect abandoning the on-board card. The manual control is not on the page in the bios that logic would dictate but I did find it.

Other Thoughts: My next board will be a Gigabyte.

5 out of 5 eggsWow.

Pros: Heavy. Overclocking is simple, and straightforward. Able to more than double the onboard video core speed.
Bought it on sale, so price.
Ability to upgrade to AM3 when I want.

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: Very suprised.

3 out of 5 eggsStill Not Sure?

Pros: Cost, Newegg, It's a Gigabyte. Upgradable to a newer CPU. If you dont have a video card, it has good onboard graphics. 6 SATA ports.

Cons: I have always had great luck with Gigabyte boards and never even hesitated to buy this one to replace an aging DFI mobo that I have always hated. I am using an AMD Quad 9850 Black Edition CPU and 8GB of Corsair XMS DDR2 800 memory. Vista 64 and a totally new WD 1.5 hard drive so it's a completly fresh install...I got all updates from Giga for all Bios and drivers. I have not done any OC'ing yet...This setup is running so slow...nothing is running fast. It took 15 minutes to download a 21mb file that would normally take 30 sec. ..I am using the onboard video just to see how it performs, which is good, but it shares 512mb of memory..Thinking this may be an issue but why? Still haven't put my ATI video card in yet to see if it makes a difference.

Other Thoughts: Definately not giving up on it yet, I just was expecting it to kick but* out of the box ...Don't have time to keep working on it. Will update post as I finish setup...

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: looked nice, had high hopes

Cons: Was DOA. Couldn't get it to work, I should have listened to the numerous reviews on this board.

I'll be going with something else instead.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst build and I would buy another

Pros: I like this MoBo it was awesome, everything I needed for my first build, couled it with a AMD Phenom X3 8750 and they are great together. Great sound capability.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you have some awesome build with gaming in mind get a video card, I had no need for one but am now thinking of getting one anyway for future possibilities

1 out of 5 eggsDid not work

Pros: Couldn't say

Cons: Upon receiving this motherboard and completing the build it would not POST, had to clear CMOS and voila that did the trick but when attempting to load OS (both Windows and Linux) the machine would re-boot, so I figured OK, let's do a firmware update and again had the same issue. Had to RMA for a MSI that worked flawlessly. If only I had waited a little and gotten the MSI in the first place, this is not the first bad experience with this manufacturer...

5 out of 5 eggsReview update

Pros: The board it self is amazing the quality is the best that i have seen. i came from Asus to Gigabyte and i have never been happier
1* dual bios (i haven't used it yet but im happy its there.)
2* the bios it self is easy to work with (for me that is)
3* overclocks really good (with the right stuff)
4*some people say that the on board sound rocks. (im using a sound card so i dont know)
5* the back plate / i/o shield is colored i like it

all in all i haven't had much to complain about im really happy with it but like every one theres always something to be picky about.

Cons: Time for the cons. i updated the bios last night to F5 and that was easy just got a flash drive and fallowed the instructions and it worked. but im not sure if it was the update or if it was the overclock im testing now i was playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 last night and every 2 or so hours it would my computer would restart out of the bule. but like i said maybe my over clock even tho its the same settings as before i updated the bios.

i dont know if its me or just the board but my North Bridge gets really hot about 60'c and i dont like that at all. like i said i dont know if its just my board or not.

the usb hook ups are right under the 1st pci-e slot and that bugs me. it also makes it hard to hide the wires

you cant have all the sata ports filled if you plan to use 2 video cars
