Pros: Cold, not going anywhere once it's on

Overall Review: I wish I had read the other reviews because with this thing, I was literally shaking, using all of my strength to push down on the tabs to connect it to the motherboard that I broke some of the chips on my cpu. I need a whole refund

Pros: -One of the earliest Heat sinks to ship supporting AM4 out of the box. -Does not overhang onto the memory socket on my Gigabyte AX370 GAMING-K7 so tall memory heat sinks are not a problem. Fit with my super tall GEIL DDR4 EVO-X 16CL 3200 RAM. -Can't hear the fan over my 6 other system fans in the case.

Cons: -The dangling retention loops are a pain to get over the notches on the AM4 socket bracket. Had a slight mess with the thermal paste because I kept moving it around to try to loop the opposite notch. Much prefer the thumb screw / back plate install approach. -Fan wire hooks can not easily be disengaged. Once they are on they are on, so if you want to rotate the fan to better position the power cable, or swap out the fan you are in for a tough time or out of luck. The wire handles don't extend far enough to get a good grip to pull them off. I'm afraid using tools would only bend it out of shape. And they didn't include any spare wire hooks in case you do break one. -The fluid dynamic bearing fan only has a 40,000 life

Overall Review: -I tried bending the bracket, the dangling loops hung from, downward with pliers in order to increase the ease of getting both loops over the notches. -Ryzen 5 1600X temps (Tdie) according to HWiNFO during Prime95 Small FFTs for 3 hrs where usually 63.8-64 with a max of 65.8. For Tctl just add 20C. XFR kept it at around 3.7GHz (HWiNFO reported mostly 3691MHz (+.1 to -.3)) the whole time Prime95 was running, while Precision Boost only engages occasionally for seconds at a time when the system isn't taxed. Air coming out the back and top exhaust fans was barely warm. Touching the heat sink fins there was barely (if) any heat coming off them and same with the ends of the heat pipes. Used Arctic MX-4 for thermal paste. Idles of around 2-5% CPU usage have the temps jumping all around anywhere from approx. 38-46C (usually in the low 40s). -Comes with a separate low noise cable that reduces the fan speed through resistance. (I didn't bother to use it.) -A tall but not particularly heavy cooler. You'll need a deep case, but it probably won't bow your MB under the weight.

Pros: Super quiet.

Cons: Large! It's not too big for my case, but it was a tight fit. Hard to install (for AMD at least) - I actually ended up bending it trying to install as intended. Parts that weren't meant to bend, that is. After about two months, it started making a really gross grinding noise about 5% of the time.

Overall Review: It is incredible how much quieter this fan is than my last heatsinc, but you shouldn't need to bend pieces on a computer part to make it fit.

Pros: works, as long as you can get it installed

Cons: if you're lucky enough to get it to stay on, good luck getting it off again if you want to replace your CPU

Pros: The contac silent comes with a pretty decent fan. Works fairly good, kept the i5 10600k I got for my sister and husband cool. It's also pretty silent. No noise complaints here...It also, least in my test, compared to the Hyper 212 I have in my case, with similar specs

Cons: What I do hate, however, is the installation process. Good golly Miss Molly!! Who designed this and thought "yeah, this is good!". It feels like you're going to break the mobo, cpu or heatsinks metal tabs. The tab that connects to the plastic O was an absolute nightmare to get on. After about 10 minutes of being unsuccessful, I decided to check to make sure the mobo would still boot. Thankfully it did, and after another 10 minutes, I got it on. This is perhaps one of the worst mounting systems I've seen, and I build PCs at my job, whether its AIO, air cooled or custom water cooling. This was a nightmare to install. Afterwards, I needed a bandage (cut myself on the heatsink), advil and whiskey for the headache.

Overall Review: Overall, its not a bad cooler, aside from the fact the installation is a pain in the rear. It keeps the CPU cool and silent, but trying to get it on is a pain.

Overall Review: Could not get the cooler mounted as the bracket provided was far to short. I read a few reviews stating this but didnt think it was gonna be that far off double checked everything.

Overall Review: using on AMD Ryzen 5 3600 65 watt stock speed. Was using Wrath AMD cooler. Had to reinstall the std mounting tabs back on the motherboard to use. Artic silver thermal. Stock idle temps did drop. But under load with fan maxed out I saw temps above 70c on passmark cpu test. The wrath cooler was lower x 5 degrees. This cpu cooler is not covering the entire processor. I can see all for corners on it. Fan maxes out at about 1400+ rpms and is loud. even louder when using it as a draw through set up. I will need to buy better fan/s and install on this cpu cooler and see if it helps. I should have spent the x-tra cash and got the Cooler Master cause now I have to spend more to make this thing work.

Pros: - 29C Idle 52 under load (Hwmonitor -Prime95/Aida64) stock @ 25C ambient temp (haven't tried overclocking yet) - Much cooler than the Wraith Spire that came with my Ryzen 1600 - Very quiet - when I ramp it to full RPMs I can barely notice a difference - Can easily accept any 120mm PWM fan of your choice (although the included fan is great) - Slighter shorter and wider than most tower coolers so ram interference will not be an issue - Nice thermal mass to the heatsink. Combined with the CFM output of the fan at full RPM, you should be able to overclock to some degree - Inexpensive. I've paid more for coolers that seem to do less.

Cons: - Fan brackets can be fiddly if you've never used the style before. I didn't have any problems with them, as I've used these types of clips before.

Overall Review: Never mind all of the people complaining about having to use pliers to install this thing. I've been building systems since before the Pentium days and have installed many coolers of this style. If you follow the directions carefully and use common sense, it's one of the easiest to install coolers that I've come across. Trust me on this one - it took all of about 3 minutes to get the whole thing together and mounted onto my motherboard. Pliers are absolutely not necessary. If it doesn't snap into place with gently force, then you're doing something wrong!!! I will update this review if I decide to overclock. My temps read differently with HWMonitor, AIDA64, and Ryzen Master, so I reported the highest (HWMonitor). Overall, this is a great cooler and I would say that it's about equal to Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO, but with a profile that allows for more clearance on the motherboard. If you want a cheap upgrade over the stock cooler, definitely pick this one up.
