Great while it worked. Died in less than 9 months 12/3/2019 5:13:45 PM

Pros: Great contrast
100MHz refresh
Built in wireless charger worked great

Cons: Dead within 9 months. Kept in cool dry office. No long hours of usage. Just one evening, locked the PC, went upstairs to make dinner came back down and dead monitor. PC was still waiting. Plugged my older monitor into the work PC, image fired right up. Everything normal. Stay away from this monitor.

Overall Review: While it worked, it was wonderful. Hell, I was telling a couple coworkers how much I really liked it, up until it died this evening. Meanwhile, by old HP ultrawide 1440p is still going strong after 4 years. At least my work environment won't suffer.

Amazing product 11/26/2018 11:20:03 PM

Pros: - Excellent contrast compared to IPS or TN. The panel is a Samsung VA and is wonderful.
- Excellent color out of the box with 100% sRGB coverage. For more precise work, read below.
- Freesync gaming is buttery smooth.
- Watching movies in a darkroom is super awesome.
- The charger is a handy feature to have and good for topping up your cellphone without much fuss.

- For a curved screen the light bleed is much better than many other IPS screens, since this is a VA panel. I haven't tried the onboard speakers.

If you're doing sensitive color work, know that the sRGB settings is a tad weak on the green and causes a very very slight purple coloration. The sRGB mode is still very usable, but I used my calibrator and got these settings:

Standard Mode

Low Blue Light disabled.

Brightness: The contrast is strongest at 0 brightness 3600:1, dips to 2300:1 between 1-40 brightness, rises to 2600-2700 around 41-80, then dips to 2500:1 81-100. Average contrast is around 2500 due to curved backlight bleed.
Contrast: 50

Color Temp. The standard mode has a white point too high (around 7400K). To get back to 6500K for work, either use Warm settings, (around 6300K) or use my presets:
User Mode:
R 100
G 94
B 88

Trace Free 40-60, anything over 60 and the pixel will overshoot the transition target causing more ghosting instead of reducing it. The Game mode doesn't actually help with ghost effects.
VividPixel 0-40 if you like the sharper text.

FPS counter is on the top right corner. It works very well without any performance penalties like FRAPS. It also works with Freesync.

Cons: Standard Freesync issues. Dipping below 60FPS can cause artifacts and brightness flashes. This is a problem with Freesync and not the monitor's problem.

HDMI setup is a pain and needs correction to enable full RGB and full black levels. There's a guide on pcminotors if you guys need help setting that up.

Overall Review: I definitely recommend this product. People that are not able to get this monitor to look right usually are suffering four issues:
1. Their graphics card cannot output the native resolution of this monitor, and output a stretched image. Try updating your drivers.
2. They did not turn on VividPixel / TraceFree.
3. They are using an OS that provides poor text/image scaling. Update your OS.
4. They are using HDMI instead of Display port and running into limited black and limited rgb range issues. It's fixable, but a hassle. Read above.

Don't like the other reviews scare you, this monitor is Sharp Sharp Sharp. Just make sure you got a 200 series or newer Radeon Card, and use DisplayPort 1.2a and you're good to go.

Super easy setup, looks great, great value for quality 8/3/2018 8:52:46 AM

Pros: Picture quality
Deep colors
huge viewing angle
Price isn't that bad considering the quality of product
super easy setup
wireless charger is a cool feature
speakers are nice, I don't use them because obviously getting a 5.1 speaker set is going to sound better but if you where using this in an office setting it would work great
was able to go down to a single monitor rather than have 2 like before

Cons: would have liked to have a couple USB ports on the monitor
uses more power then my dual monitor setup before some how

Overall Review: been using the product for about 3 weeks now. been flawless since receiving it.

Absolutely perfect! Trust me- worth a read 9/10/2017 11:17:40 PM

Pros: Size, color accuracy, qi charger, asthetics, price

Cons: no g-sync, need to keep glass on charging base clean

Overall Review: Seriously, I don't know what all of the hate is on the few reviews that are out there on this monitor. I used this monitor to replace 2 27" Asus 1080p 60hz monitors and I am not looking back. Now a little back story, I spend my time 50/50 between photoshop and gaming so I wanted a monitor that provided both ends of the spectrum. I had 2 27" monitors that were great for photoshop, however, being that they were in my office that you see right as you walk in the front door, they didn't really pass the "wife" factor. When I told her I was going to go back to 1 monitor, she was so excited and said "what made you finally decide to do that?" Keeping a straight face, I told her that I was tired of looking at the clutter of 2 monitors and that I thought it would look more clean with just 1. (1 huge 34 inch ultrawide with 100hz refresh... shhhhh). When the box arrived, wow was it huge. I opened it up, and took the old monitors off the desk and replaced them with this one, lonely little monitor. I was starting to regret my purchase, however I wanted to give it time. First up, the colors were not so great out of the box, but nothing a little xrite color calibration didn't make short work of. Now this thing was screaming with beauty! Next up, test a few games to see if I can really notice the frame rate..... check- smooth as butter! Finally, lets head over to Lightroom and Photoshop to see if I can manage my workflow between 2 programs on this new beast--- ABSOLUTELY! I spent 8 hours completing several edits on recent photoshoots that I needed to do. All of a sudden, this monitor was not lonely, it was just the perfect only child that I have been looking for. So for all of the haters, well I don't need a VESA mount, it is on my desk. Also, I didn't need the "gaming" look of the ASUS ROG or the Acer Predator but I did want a high refresh rate and a monitor that looked very sleek, classy and would pass the wife test (the above 2 definately would not have)! As for the charging stand, I am in love with it, the subtle glow lets me know that my phone is aways ready to go, and no cable clutter is needed. So are there any complaints, sure, the glass that the base came with had a small scratch on it, not enough though to knock it an egg. Height is perfect, I don't need to move it up or down, so again, I would take the charger over an adjustable height any day. All in all, it only took me a short while to realize that I won't miss my twins (2 27" Asus) anymore as they have now been upgraded with my perfect only child. Thanks ASUS for putting out a monitor that will handle both business and pleasure with style, grace and affordability. As for not having G-sync, well it just can't be justified for the extra cost. I am running this with a 1080 strix and have had absolutely no complaints about my gaming experience. I was super nervous at first, but after some quality time, I find myself just wanting to be infront of this beauty all day. -- oh, and movies look AMAZING on this monitor as well.

Kinda nice monitor, but 8/6/2017 8:31:28 AM

Pros: Wanted to replace two 27", with one that fit in a corner of my office

Cons: I put in a 32" Dell that was absolutely perfect in all respects, after installing a 1050 ti video card. I just wanted something a bit larger, to get a better visual in my day-to-day businessd operation generating invoices, emails, etc., so I opted for the ASUS MX34VQ monitor. It actually hurts my eyes because is its clarity if pathetic. I will not resort to going back to twin 27" ASUS or Dell monitors. My eyes are just killing me using this monitor. I have adjusted this thing monitor nearly out of existence and even typing this narrative, the type is not solid or clear. I am extemely unhappy throwing over $800 for a monitor of such poor pixalation. I think I jumped the gun on purchasing a large screen monitor.

Overall Review: I would not recommend this monitor as it is presently being used. I am not a gamer, but a business owner and have 8 monitors here in the office. The old ASUS 27" has this one beat 2X over for clarity.
