Its design features coated braids and a special underground floodant gel injected under the polyethylene jacket to prevent unwanted cable damage in burial applications. It is spread out on the 77% Aluminum braid to prevent cable damage. It is designed for burial in underground applications where the regular coaxial cable would be damaged by exposure to the elements, such as in underground telecommunications infrastructure.
Direct burial coaxial cable is more resistant to moisture and pressure than standard cables, making it ideal for outdoor use.
While installing our Direct Burial Coaxial Cable, run it at least 18 inches below the ground. It can be installed even at 24 inches deep in plastic conduit. Make sure to call your city's building code office and see if there is a municipal code that specifies the depth of buried cable.
