The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a compact wireless all-in-one inkjet printer for home and small-office users who want to print, copy, scan, and fax from one device, with PC and mobile connectivity.
Recommended For
- Households that print documents occasionally and want one wireless device for printing, copying, scanning, and occasional faxing, without needing fast or high-volume output.
- Home photo hobbyists who prioritize detailed, colorful prints for occasional snapshots over low ink costs or high-volume photo printing.
- Students or families who print assignments, forms, and occasional photos from phones or computers and want wireless printing plus automatic two-sided printing.
- Very small home offices that need occasional document scanning or faxing, rather than a fast device for daily office workloads.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- For routine home paperwork—such as forms, recipes, or shipping labels—a household can print wirelessly from a computer or phone; it is best suited to occasional jobs rather than a steady stream of pages.
- When a school, work, or household packet needs to be digitized, the automatic document feeder can handle a small stack of pages, making multi-page scanning or copying less hands-on than placing each sheet on the glass.
- For a small home office that occasionally needs to send or receive a fax, the TR4720 combines faxing with everyday printing, scanning, and copying; it is not designed for a high-volume document workload.
- To print a few vacation or family photos at home, users can print from a mobile device or computer on compatible photo paper; reviews report detailed prints, though color accuracy may vary.
- For reports or other multi-page home documents, automatic two-sided printing can reduce manual page flipping and paper use; document printing is relatively slow, so it may take patience for larger jobs.
