8X DVD RW MDISC SLIM TRAY 40PK 40PK OEM INT SATA BLACK DL 9.5MM

The LG GUD1N is a slim, internal SATA DVD writer with 8x writing speed and M-DISC support, suited to users adding DVD burning and playback to a computer with a compatible 9.5 mm slim-drive bay.

Recommended For

• PC owners replacing a failed optical drive in a computer with a compatible 9.5 mm slim SATA bay who still need to read or burn CDs and DVDs.
• Users who want an internal drive for reading or recording CDs and DVDs, including M-DISC-compatible media, rather than relying on a separate external optical drive.
• Owners of older laptops or compact PCs with a matching slim optical-drive bay who need to access disc-based software, documents, or DVD media.
• Builders adding a slim optical drive to a compatible desktop setup who are prepared to check mounting and connector requirements before installation.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• When a compatible computer has a 9.5 mm slim SATA bay but no working optical drive, install the GUD1N to read and write CDs and DVDs without relying on an external USB drive.
• When installing older software or accessing files supplied on disc, use the drive to read compatible CDs or DVDs; installation still depends on the computer’s operating system and the disc’s condition.
• When making a physical copy of photos, documents, or other files, burn them to a compatible recordable DVD; for a disc-based archive, the drive also supports writing to M-DISC media.
• When playing a DVD movie on a computer with a compatible slim SATA bay, use the drive to read the disc; DVD playback software may also be needed, and this DVD drive does not provide Blu-ray playback.
• When sharing files with someone who needs a physical disc, burn them to a compatible CD or DVD; the recipient will need a device that can read that disc format.
