Dual chipset at the adapter, JMB575+JMS580.
JMB575 is a single chip solution. It integrated 5 independent SATA channels and a micro-processor. Supports cascaded mode which enables maximum 5 drives connected to one host.
With proper setting, the chip can be configured as Type-C to 5 ports SATA 6Gbps Port.
