Tips for the USB & Type-C Interface
- The interface of the product is USB 3.0 & Type-C which is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.0.
- If you want to use in on some devices with Type-C/USB-C interface, the USB to Type-C adapter is proposed and the extension cable or the hub may cause power failure due to the unqualified cables.
Tips for Using it on PC
- The Computer Output for the drive : 3V-5V (1.3A-2A) -- Lower to this may cause a recognizing failure or reading failure.
- When plug the drive to the PC, please connect the external DVD drive to the USB port of the motherboard of the PC . Due to the limited length of the cable of product, please try it with a qualified USB extension cable.
Tips for Recognizing Issues
- This is an universal CD/DVD drive burner, not a Blu-ray drive, it is unable to play Blu-ray discs.
- If you find the External CD/DVD Drive start out a little bit slow, please wait for up to 5-10 seconds. Windows 10 system is advised to install "VLC Media player" to play DVD and CD. We suggested that you download the 3.0 drive for windows 10, then it will work.
- If you still have an unrecognizable issue, it is possible that your device install the drive for the product automatically. Please uninstall the drive of the product, and re-install it.
Tips for Unavailable Devices and Systems
- This external CD/DVD drive is designed for laptop and PC, thus it is only can be used within computer systems such as Windows(any version),MAC OS,and Linux.
- This product can't be using for TV, Chromebook, Tablets, Projector, Car, PS and etc.(without computer system).
- It is obviously some customers are looking for the product can be used for the devices mentioned above. However, the one is not. Please be careful and we hope "HAIWAY" can release the product you are looking for sooner or later.
