The Dell DMPUIQ-SRL-G01 Server Interface Module Connect a hub, router, or network switch to your Dell DMPU and select PowerEdge Digital KVM Switch and add remote access to the device. The Dell True Serial SIP by Avocent provides true serial (non-emulated) connectivity for non-server devices (like hubs, routers, switches, etc. ) that are typically accessed via telnet or ssh. Like all Dell SIPs, it converts the keyboard, monitor, and mouse signals from the device and drives them through a single CAT5 cable, eliminating the typical KVM cable management headaches.

The True Serial SIP draws its power from a USB source and has a Keep Alive capability that is designed to keep your device working properly with or without connectivity to the KVM switch.
