The PM100X1 is a 100 Watt dynamic power mono amp that works with the DC and AC voltages found on most radio speaker outputs. This design eliminates the need for a B+ cable when connecting to a speaker wire. It also provides a safe load to the radio amp circuit, reducing radio wear and tear. Its perfect for OEM and aftermarket radio integration. Mobile, motorsport, and marine applications are all possible with the conformal coated PCB.

The PM100X1 amplifier is a one-of-a-kind amplifier that incorporates our patent-pending BTL technology. This single channel amplifier uses the radios speaker output to provide not only the audio signal but also the power to run the unit. This is accomplished using a combination of the common DC offset voltage and the audio AC signal itself.

It uses the DC offset voltage for both turn on and primary amplification power at first. The amplifier begins to share the power load between the DC and AC signals as the volume and output power demand increase. Once a high volume is reached, the AC signal provides the majority of the amplifiers power, which is supplemented by its internal storage bank.

This design enables it to charge its capacitive bank on the AC signal waves negative side, which is essentially unused power. It also puts no more strain on the radio than a standard 2 or 4 ohm speaker, ensuring that the radio amplifier circuit is protected from low impedance conditions. This design enables the amplifier to be connected to a radio with a rated output of 20 watts and dynamically produce up to 100 watts. A 2/ 4 ohm input switch is also included to match the amplifier to the radio circuits output impedance rating.

We include a selectable high pass crossover with settings at 60, 80, and 100Hz for speaker protection.

When there isnt enough DC voltage to power the amp at turn on, an extra B+ wire is included, which can be connected to other low-current circuits nearby. Because of this design, the amplifier can be used for OEM or aftermarket upgrades without having to use physically larger amplifiers because it can be hidden in the vehicles dash or doors. Its also IPX6 rated for installations where moisture is a concern.
