Pros: Easy to install. The whole structure is sturdy. After using the computer for 5 hours: Temperatures in my i7-965 (not over-clocked) dropped from 55 celsius to 44 celsius. Very silent when using 2 fans and no speed reduction wires: you can hear only pure white noise, no buzzing at all. Nice feature: when the cooler fans are placed “in-line” with the rear case fan, the RAM is kept cool since they receive the full air intake being pulled from the right CPU fan. You can actually touch the RAM and feel it cool. The fins, when seen sideways, are semi-closed which is great since there is not that much hot air being blown sideways towards the power supply (usually placed above), or the video card (usually placed below). In my P6T Deluxe there is enough room to attach both fans, so you will not have to sacrifice a RAM slot. But still, if you don’t have space (because you have a different motherboard), just move the Right fan upwards (away from the motherboard) a bit.

Cons: Very difficult to attach the metal clips to the fans with your plain fingers. Using a pair of pliers will make it easier. You cannot attach the clips to the fans before the cooler is attached to the motherboard; this is so because the fans are in the middle of the 2 main cooler supporting screws… so be gentle when attaching the clips to the fans (you could -in the worse case- damage the motherboard). Each fan has its own power wire-plug, so (when using the 2 fans) you have to connect one wire to the CPU fan connector (on the motherboard) and the other one to some other alternate chassis fan connector. It would have been nicer if both wires could have been attached to the same CPU fan connector on the motherboard.

Overall Review: The efficiency of this (and any) cooler depends as well on the capacity the case fan has to put hot air out of the case. The fan you use at the rear of your case has to be efficient enough to achieve this; otherwise the CPU will receive constantly hot air that is trapped within the case. So be sure to use a proper case exhaust fan on the case rear.

Pros: i didn't even tried my i7-920 with a stock cooler - why to waste time! with the noctua cooler i run my i7-920 at 3.2GHz smoothly, quietly and cool. i had been running prime95 for an hour (CPU frequency 3.36 - turbo boost is on, 8 cores at 100% loaded - HT is on) - the CPU temperature had been around 58-59C, the system - 40-41C. and in the same time i barely hear my computer.

Cons: it's big - may not fit to some cases (but it fits perfectly to my antec p182). it's heavy - may not fit to some motherboard - check its compatibility on the manufacturer's site. installation is not so easy - but the included step-by-step instructions are good. if you want to plug both fans to one CPU_FAN connector on your motherboard, you should use a 3-pin Y-splitter, that is NOT INCLUDED (may be the major mistake of Noctua).

Overall Review: READ the FAQ on noctua.at. you will avoid many possible problems.

Pros: Excellent heatsink and very quiet running with both fans. Keeps my i7 920 in the mid 40s idle and under 80C when I've OC'd to 4.0Ghz. Room temp is around 26C.

Cons: One of the fans was making an oscillating noise which I assume is the motor. I could tap it a few times and it would go away temporarily.

Overall Review: I emailed NewEgg asking if I had to send back the entire package in order to get an RMA on this fan and they said yes unfortunately. That bummed me out a bit until I emailed Noctua about my problem. I showed them my invoice and requested a LGA775 mounting kit since I wanted to use this fan on my old computer once I do watercooling. No questions asked, they said to expect a new fan within 14 business days. About a week from that email, I received a new NF-P12 fan and a LGA 775 mounting kit straight from Australia. I thought that was pretty amazing overseas customer service.

Pros: This is great cooler,great tower,flat base,great silent fan, great thermal paste and some of the best cooling capability. I7 920 OC to 3.8 at 1.38750 volt under prime95,max temp of 78 degre.My everyday oc is 3.2 and max temp of 64.real temp reading.12gb of corsair dominator will fit no problem with this cooler and booth fan on it on a p6t deluxe.will fit in CM 690 no problem.

Cons: Pricey but worth it.

Pros: I slightly overclocked my 920 to run at 3.2 GHz. The idle temp is 35C. The installation was easy and straightforward. The documentation was clear. I didnt use the ultra-silent fan adaptors and it is still very quiet. I was debating between the CM v10 and this one. Maybe 3-5 years from now when the price of the QX i7 drops, I'll upgrade.

Cons: It is humongous but my CM HAF case have tons of room for it. Highly recommend using a full tower for this. The only con is that I cant use the Corsair dominator memory slot nearest the CPU. Hence it limits me to use only 3 tri-channel instead of 6. But for now 6GB is fine wt me.

Pros: - Solid construction - Two fan design moves a lot of air. - Solid backplate holds HS securely. - Quiet. - Can be installed facing any direction.

Cons: - Instruction illustration on mounting fans was very confusing. When I stopped looking at it I figured it out. Just needs a picture. - I'd prefer screw mounting the fans. Even though the clips seem secure, I'd rather not imagine the fans banging around in the case. However, the clips are critical in some mounting situations since you must add the fans after mounting the heat sink and there's situations where you might need to do this after mounting the mobo.

Overall Review: I mounted this on a P6T6 WS Revolution that was then installed in a Silverstone FT01-B case. Access to some of the top mobo mounting screws was challenging - had to use a magnetic pickup to place the screws first since there was only about 1.5 inches of clearance between the heatsink+fans and the top case fan. I considered that it might be better to try to clip the fans on after mounting the mobo but I don't think that would be fun at all. Also plugging in the top ATX power connector required patience and a long pair of pliers. Once mounted the HS sits directly in the path of two fans in the FT01 case so there's lots of airflow over the CPU - not so much over the video card though. BTW, make sure you have the fans mounted so one pumps in and the other out. Overall I think this is a well designed and solidly built HSF unit. A bit too expensive perhaps but given the price of the other components in my system it was not too much.

Pros: Quality and quit as a church mouse. Dropped my Cpu temps from 44C to 37C. Craftsmanship is awesome. Nice metal case badge. Easily directional air flow. In a word beautiful.

Cons: None. The color of the fans is kinda weird.

Overall Review: Pretty tall rig, but all the components are first rate.
