I first bought a Luna home camera, but it crashed every day and I had to power it down and restart it every day. The app was also slow to launch. I replaced it with the TP-Link Tapo camera, which has been extremely reliable. It has been running continuously for several weeks with no glitches and no down time. I launch the app and with one tap I see the live image within a second. So far I have only tried it with 1 camera but the app supports up to 36 cameras. I will buy more.

- Small and portable. - Mounts to a variety of surfaces - Low wattage. - Includes IR lamps and sensors built in. Once you have Ubuquiti's Protect installed, the camera installation is to easy to setup. I tried Unifi Video and its great, but for ease of use the Protect line is good especially for new users to use. To be honest the phone app is great an to easy to use for anyone.

- Fairly simple set up, I was able to connect the camera to my network and get it up and running fairly quickly. - PoE requirements are very easy to meet. - The Unifi Video software gets the job done to record and store video locally on my NAS.

- Very easy setup with a Synology NAS. Detection over ethernet was easy, and all AI capabilities work out of the box. - Mounting and installation is straightforward, requiring just a drill and screwdriver. - AI capabilities are quite strong, including detecting people and vehicles, intrusion, and tampering. - Being able to keep the recordings on my own server without any cloud spyware attached to it is great. I do not trust a lot of these (made in China) camera packages that transmit my data to external servers.
