Corsair makes overclocking easy. Its Dominator series Triple Channel kits set the standard for enthusiast-oriented memory modules developed for the up-to-the-minute Intel Core i7 processor / Intel X58 Express Chipset. This triple channel 6GB kit is rated to run at 1600MHz and has CL 8-8-8-24 timings for speedy performance. Each kit is 100% hand tested for performance and compatibility.
To keep everything running cool, these modules use DHX (Dual-path Heat eXchange) technology. The heat-removing PCB is surrounded by Corsair's signature heat sink with fins and ribs for cool running memory even under the hottest action. So game hard, game long, your memory can handle it!
This new 6GB kit ensures optimal performance via an ideal combination of low voltage requirements, speed, and latency, so it's a perfect match for the Nehalem platform to unleash performance you could only dream of before.
Designed for Intel Core i7 Platforms The Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D comes in a triple-channel configuration designed specifically for Intel’s new Core i7 processor/X58 chipset-based platforms.
DDR3 1600 DDR3 1600 delivers amazing performance and platform compatibility with up to 12800MB/s memory bandwidth per channel for the ultimate work and gaming power!
Dual-path Heat eXchange Technology Corsair-exclusive Dual-path Heat eXchange (DHX) technology utilizes two methods to effectively remove heat from the memory circuit board for maximized heat dissipation, resulting in enhanced reliability, stability and performance capability even in the most extremely overclocked memory module.
Pros: worked great for 7 years. Still running. Just used it to play crysis 3 on ultra. it went fine. Triple channel is the bomb. Would have bought the12 gb kit to upgrade but building a ddr4 system instead.
Cons: none
Overall Review: highly recommended for triple channel boards and now fairly cheap.
Pros: This memory outperforms many 1866/2400 OC chips. It can run all CAS 8 (STRAIGHT) at higher speeds, for five years now. In fact on my 1366 X58 system, it even runs on 1T mode, which really speeds up floating point/ CAD / mathematical tasks and smashes CAS 9 and 10 (or worse..) This is why DDR4 is losing value! I suppose the higher voltage lends to easier overclocking. It's in the XMP profile already.
Cons: Multiple releases of this product (up to 7.1A?) are hard to identify, and the model shows up in CPU-Z differently than the label on the chip.
Overall Review:
If you have this for sale, put it up for auction. I will buy it from you.
ASUS X58 D E, i7 930 and extreme (2010)
Pros:
still flawlessly running in 2014, goin on 5 years
CORSAIR NEEDS TO MAKE ANOTHER BATCH for us 1366 diehards
Cons: i wish there was more
Pros: Look great, work well.
Cons: Can't get it to stay in 1600.
Overall Review: Needed to overclock to get the specs on the RAM, wouldn't stay at those specs, would always revert back to 1100something. Not sure if it's the memory or the motherboard, but still works well.
Pros: Have worked amazingly ever since I installed them back in 2009. Never an issue.
Cons: None
Pros:
Fast
Affordable
Cons:
Quality control issues?
No recall notice
Overall Review:
The first pair I ordered (in 2009) caused my system to randomly freeze. After replacing every single component in my computer, to include the CPU, motherboard, power supply and even the case, the memory chips were the last thing I expected to be the problem. When I contacted Crucial they asked me for the revision number on the sticks and immediately confirmed I had a pair that were part of bad production run. They sent me some new sticks (after I sent my old one's in) and my system has worked flawlessly since.
I swear I registered these with the Crucial website but I guess I didn't. Nevertheless, a bulletin announcing the defective batch of memory that made it into the wild (and on newegg) should have been posted on the companies website.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Haven't been able to fix the 3.99gb useable out of the 6gb installed issue. Read a lot of the same issues online and people are all using EVGA motherboards. I'm guessing it's not very compatible with EVGA for some reason.

Pros: this ram was exactly as advertised
Cons: bit tall for the cooler but it was probably the coolers fault
Overall Review: Would by again
