Pros: This LCD monitor is wonderful. The colors are very accurate and vivid, you can choose different presets to adjust the video depending on what you are doing (i.e. games, movies, etc.). The size is perfect, and it doesn't weight a ton. I've been doing photo and video editing and so far I have to say I am impressed with this monitor. One of the best purchases I made this holiday season.

Cons: Not really a Con, but it would be nice if you could adjust the height on the monitor stand.

Overall Review: Some user's have complained about the built-in webcam and the software that comes with it. I loaded the version of the software that came with the monitor and it works without a hitch. The webcam is recognized by the operating system and all instant messaging applications without having to load the software for it. If it is important to you to have a mediocre application overimpose cartoons and images on your face, then it may be a con. Otherwise, if you just want to have video chats/clips then it works great.

Pros: Huge screen with no dead pixels! 2ms pixel response with adjustable overdrive. No ghosting at all with PixPerAn flag and car tests, with a readability score of 8. 1:1 Pixel option, along with Fullscreen, 4:3, and Overscan modes. Component & HDMI inputs… perfect for 360 & PS3. SPDIF Coaxial output for HDMI audio. Headphone jack. Good webcam that works well in low light conditions. Dynamic contrast of 20000:1 – ASCR off by default. DCDi for deinterlacing and anti-aliasing 480i video, such as from an older PS2 or DVD player connected via componet cables. Colors are good without adjustment in STD mode; Native White Point is aprox D65. Calibration results with ColorEyes Display Pro w/Spyder2 (STD Mode, RGB 100/100/100, B90/C80, Gamma L): Native WP=6534K, Lum/BP = 272/0.69, dE avg=0.45, max = 1.16.

Cons: No USB ports. No built-in microphone. No Composite input (it would make sense with DCDi). Headphone jack should be on the side, not in back. I have better speakers in my laptop (I’m not kidding). The stand has no height adjustment. The included cables are of dubious quality… Higher resolution displays are more prone to interference issues, so higher quality (i.e. thicker) cables are recommended.

Overall Review: Bottom Line: You will not find a better monitor at twice the price… period.

Pros: I've really been enjoying my new monitor, and am relieved that it turned out to be a good choice so far. I had read several reviews complaining about various aspects of this monitor. I personally don't think most users that would buy this monitor will be concerned with most of the negatives mentioned by others and, actually, I can't even understand why somebody that is looking to do high-detail intensive graphic or photo work would even think they could get that from a $300.00 26" TN panel. Honestly, if your just an enthusiast or regular user this monitor should be just incredible for you. I think most people would be very happy with this unit and thrilled to death every time they come into the room and see this big bad beauty sitting on their desk. I know I am, and it's cool being able to be excited about a purchase several weeks after the fact. I put mine on a monitor arm that I purchased from Newegg at the same time, and as I stated in that review, it very much rocks in my opinion

Cons: There are of course the typical unfortunate aspects of the TN panel, such as light bleed on a totally black screen, and some noticeable weakness in other areas like the color isn't consistent throughout the screen, but that's not even nearly as big an issue as it sounds. I just mention it because others have and when I got mine I looked and could see what they were talking about. This is not for graphics professionals. For everyone else however, this is a pretty sweet deal for the money.

Overall Review: The overall experience is vastly upgraded with the addition of a monitor arm, so that is a highly suggested option. I bought mine at the same time, and have left a review on that page too. Enjoy, and hope you have good luck with yours, like I did. At least there's a pretty strong three year warranty if anything goes wrong.

Pros: No dead pixels. I wish I could sit farther back because this thing is big! Upgraded from a Samsung 2253BW 2ms and I must say it was worth it. The quality is comparable, but the resolution is better for sure with the VK266H. Good options for various viewing modes. I stared at my desktop for a good 15 minutes because it was so beautiful. Awesome selection of inputs. I didn't bother using HDMI since monitor speakers are garbage, unless of course you're using this for Xbox & co. Games look excellent-COD4, Dota, Natural Selection, Farcry2, Civ4. Web cam is pretty decent, obvious difference from 1.3Megapixel to 2.0. Uber fast shipping, arrived in 2 days

Cons: I too, noticed the slight flickering dashes when viewing a green or pinkish background. I switched out to a better quality DVI cable and it seemed to do the trick. Perhaps I had the lesser cables (included with monitor) connectors turned too tight. Either way, it's gone now. Might have something to do with it being a new monitor settling in for a life of goodness. Was a gamble buying this without any feedback, but Asus is solid and so is Newegg. Do it! Unless you're in debt, then be responsible and don't do it! Or wait for the next tax bonus. heh.

Overall Review: If you get a "LifeFrame2 works with ASUS Laptops only!" error when setting up the web cam, make sure the usb is connected and you might have to sift for drivers a bit. I went with the 490 drivers located in one of the sub folders and it worked on XP SP3. The monitor is about 4 inches deep. Not a problem unless you have a shallow desk. This thing begs to be wall mounted.

Pros: Excellent picture! I picked this up on sale for an excellent price; and could not be happier. For the same price or less than an LCD TV with half the resolution, I got a superb LCD screen for my XBOX 360 and Core 2 Quad rig. Makes my 22" look small. Excellent image quality, best I have ever seen on any LCD, even 2k+ Sony Bravias.

Overall Review: Speakers are adequate, better than many monitors. Black levels are amazing, especially in "Theater Mode". Little to no backlight bleed, webcam works great with WDDM Drivers in Windows 7.

Pros: EVERYTHING! Came with 0 dead pixels, very bright screen, everything looks extremely pretty and to top it off this monitor is HUGE. I can't believe how much quality you're getting for your $430. Best value by FAR of any monitor in the same size. Even though this is new BUY IT! I did before there were any ratings at all and im extremely satisfied. Asus, you are my heroes

Pros: I was afraid of getting a unit with stuck/dead pixels, but the unit that was shipped to me had NONE. The image quality is amazing.

Cons: The monitor doesn't have height adjustment. Also, the DVI cable that's included is not the best that I've used; it feels cheap. There's no USB ports on it either.

Overall Review: But overall, this is a good monitor, and one worth buying. If somehow I suddenly had my money back on my desk with the monitor missing, I would buy it again.

Pros: Besides the obvious (its big enough to block out the sun, its bright & holymoly 2ms!) it has the component inputs for the unlucky few of us that got the original X-BOX 360 without the HDMI. so now we can split out the sound to a more suitable soundsystem :) O did I mention it is smokin fast with no motion blur?

Cons: The web cam adds 10 pounds? they neglect to mention that part .

Overall Review: I researched other monitors for over 2 months and thought I had my mind made up to jump on the $am$ung bandwagon, BUT !-a local distributor was nice enough to let me Demo the 24" inch version with some COD5 and right away I was hooked, the viewing angle was amazing as well as the NO GHOSTING what-so-ever! Also the fact that screen is a matte and not the glossy was what I was looking for as a gamer and not a Photo editor.If you can afford it the choice is clear. ASUS ROCKS!
