Pros: Another awesome mobo from ASUS. Nicely packaged in a factory sealed box with ASUS logo on a sticker. Set up is easy, paired with i7-10700 and Elite Group 4000 MHz of DDR4 RAM with XPM no problem. Updated BIOS to the most current one. My 3 year old Samsung 265Gb NVMe with Win 10 was installed and visible in BIOS, so did not have to reinstall OS and all apps... just reactivate Win 10. An M.2 slot for WiFi card is a nice addition. Installed Intel WiFi 6 card. In general a good and solid board from ASUS especially if you get it on sale. Highly recommend.
Cons: After installation of Intel WiFi 6 card in M.2 slot it kept rearranging icons on my desktop every time you do a reboot. Reinstalling latest NVIDIA drivers seemed to help with the issue. Probably has nothing to do with the board but had to mention.
Overall Review: Highly recommend
Pros: Good board, good price.
Cons: The board I was sent had bent ZIF CPU socket pins.(Still worked, but it still stressed me out) I posted a review with some photos a while back, but they never seem to have been posted.
Overall Review: It's a good board and I believe it's priced fairly. I was just pretty disappointed with the bent CPU socket pins, I was gonna return it, but already had my old build taken apart (got a little too excited).
Pros: It booted
Cons: Unable to use network adapter. Attempts to install drivers for network adapter unsuccessful. Error that Windows could not find driver software for my device when pointing directly to driver downloaded from Asus. Tried using Intel ProSet to install drivers, and error that No Intel Adapters are present on the computer, even though it shows in Device Manager. Attempts to flash the network adapter with newer firmware from Asus website unsuccessful. Each time, it seems the firmware doesn't take.
Overall Review: We'll see how it works after RMA.

Pros: Has the things to make my computer work
Cons: Took forever to figure out how to turn off the RGB off at night. Required BIOS update or the dumb Armoury Crate
Overall Review: I would buy this again.
Pros: Looks good Sufficient IOs and features Comes with M2 heatsink
Overall Review: I bought it with a cpu bundle, didn’t do too much research before that. So far I only used one pcie x16, one m2 ssd and one m2 wifi. I would probally be fine with a micro atx version. No problem to light it up (the first boot failed due to loose connection at PSU). If the monitor is not turned on during power up, the monitor light on the board will be kept on after POST but that doesn’t affect anything. I tried my best to make wiring look neat, hiding the aio pump power wires under those heatsinks. Perhaps the board can think more of how to help hiding wires. If there’s anything can be done better, I would say: 1. A 90 degree convertor or extension cable for the 24 pin socket to make wiring neater. 2. Extra argb sockets or Y shape rgb extension cable 3. The AI app from asus can monitor the graphic card such as temperature and fan speed. Not critical but can be interesting. Overall I like this board.
Pros: -Amazing software support -Fresh BIOS stabilizes voltages more. Although I never had any crashes on previous versions. -Improved visual design -Better Audio drivers no longer having to turn off Sonic Studio 3 for certain games audio to work. -Ai overclocking is quite good, it seems to actually learn the best settings as you keep using your system. -Best Value compare to other Asus lineup
Cons: -Slightly less USB ports compare to something like Z270-H, this issue is fixed by getting backplate that connects to the USB ports on the motherboard. -Tall ram and huge coolers might not fit perfectly, Noctua D15 along with G.Skill pretty much makes you mount the second fan elsewhere (top of case).
Overall Review: Really great product and Asus does not disappoint. Strong OC capabilities and software support along with quality components. Add the great price on top of it all and the Z490-H makes an amazing motherboard. Quite happy that Asus seems to perform so well on all those fronts.
Pros: Nice layout Good price Many expansion slots M.2, PCIE etc. BIOS is very user friendly
Cons: No built in WiFi or Bluetooth No digital display of temperature
Overall Review: Very nice board. Worked without any issues. I recommend anyone building a gaming machine with Cometlake CPU. These are brand new CPUs and ASUS did a great job with the mother board, driver support and bios updates, I was able to flash the bios and debug an issue where I had not pushed the DIMM all the way in. The debug lights are very useful. Once windows was installed, the necessary ASUS drivers etc all got installed using the built in software. Mast last board was EVG X99 FTW. technology has come a long way for sure. I only wish WiFi and Bluetooth were built in and that would have made this board all round !

Overall Review: So, what was the story with that yellow light - it was the reversed polarity on the reset connector. It's not just an open/close thing, but rather voltage/ground. The polarity was not marked on the case cable, and the case is rather difficult to work inside (Rosewill SPECTRA D100, by the way, otherwise nice), so once I connected, I just wanted to leave it alone. The machine was in a constant reset, and that was the reason for the strange behavior. It was also confusing that many others posted similar "yellow LED" problem on the Internet, and I am now wondering how many such problems are attributable to similar simple mistakes. Newegg - perhaps it is possible to correct the rating?
