Pros: well conceived board, proves that even with 1/2 a brain u can swap motherboards. excellent manual and docs, took me longer to lose all my MSI software then to install the board. runs my i9-10900k, out of box at 4.8-5.3ghz and i can set RGBs to turn red if it heats over the limit i set (hasnt happened YET). matching it with a rog STRIX rtx-2080ti o11g doesnt hurt either. sound system is great, recommend AC/DC at 92db 7.1 surround sound.
Cons: may not be an actual "con", but i cant seem to hold this thing back. its a thorough-bred, and just wants to flat out race, even when i told it in bios to use intel defaults. but since it passes stresses and gaming on all accounts, runs my cpu cool (even tho im temporarily using my old i5-6600k corsair 140mm aio!) so just let her rip.
Overall Review: matched with a monster GPU, it can get expensive, but if the kids are fed, and the wife doesnt see that bill, screw the mortgage payment and upgrade the PC. if u wanna get similar gaming performance for a little less, look at the maximus xii hero and an i9-9900k. the wife will still freak tho. 5 EGGS (sorry for the 1 egg, couldnt change it)
Pros: - Overall features and included equipment very good - Installation is easy and straight forward - Numerous fan, liquid cooling and RGB lighting options - LED POST and fault display a nice touch - no need for beep codes - Lighting is cool if you like that kind of thing
Cons: - First motherboard setup was normal, but for an unknown reason, completely ceased to function in the first 24 hours. It went from apparent normal operations to completely dead - no POST of any kind - RMA'd through NewEgg and received a new board. - ASUS tech support was helpful, but basic - options included RMA to ASUS for repair or RMA to NewEgg for a refund & new purchase. I opted for the latter. - Second MB has worked for the past 3 weeks as advertised - no issues - Pricey
Overall Review: - Overall, I think this MB is an excellent product. I have used ASUS for many years and I'm happy with the quality and service, for the most part. - Regarding the first failed MB, not sure why it happened and it did delay getting my system up and running by a week or so. Trouble-shooting was a bit frustrating. I chocked it up to "stuff happens".
Pros: Versital motherboard Easy to setup
Cons: None
Overall Review: First ever P.C. Build but the first motherboard I ordered was defective and I had issues with getting feedback on my return for 2 weeks straight because of the holiday. But a manager stepped in and provided the best service I ever had from newegg and saved me from giving this 1 egg...Thank You!!
Pros: I’ve bought Asus motherboards since forever. This board is a monster. Runs my i9 with no issues HOWEVER I am having an issue with WiFi and BT. Windows will not pick them up at all. I’ve done two clean installs, chatted with Asus but nothing. Sent in information via email an awaiting to here something. I may have to return for another board.
Cons: Wifi/BT not working
Overall Review: Not sure if I would recommend this board until I find out what the problem is.
Pros: 10900k is running at 5.4ghz @ 1.315V with XMP enabled 4133mhz ram 32GB.
Cons: RGB could be a tad brighter, initial launch bios had issues with XMP on my memory kit.
Overall Review: Overall, its pricey but well worth it if you want the best in terms of features and hardware.
Overall Review: Apex is better for less money water blocks on vrms kinda stupid and too much But if you are a water cooler enthusiasts this is the board for you
Pros: What can you say, it's Asus Rog! Easy to install and wonderful Bios. Easy to overclock feature. Looks fantastic.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Definitely. It's a great board. If your into true watercooling, it's set up for that too! I have an AIO, so I didn't need that feature, but wow, does this board rock. Easy to overclock. I did one simple click and let the board do its thing. Overclock my new rig to 43%! Good enough for me. Highest recommend!

Pros: Worked out of the box like a champ. Has all the ports and headers you need. Beefy VRM and nice ready to go custom water cooling set up which may be more necessary with the power draw of 10 series CPUs. I found over the years that the less expensive Hero is always 1-2 features short for me (not enough usb, sata, headers, etc) while the extreme has way too much stuff that I never end up using. The Formula seems to get the right "Formula" down :-)
Cons: Only cons I notice is that the silly rgb lights on the board are very dim. Honestly once the board is covered in parts you probably wouldn't notice even if they were bright so no big loss here. Only other con I noticed is that Ai Suite software still has a few oddities (why does Ai Cooling go bonkers and set fans to 100% if I set more than one source?)but is immensely better and more useful then in years past.
Overall Review: The design is beautiful and the feature set is perfect for that advanced builder that's looking to overclock with custom cooling and a variety of fans, drives, and accessories. If you're looking to build a monster with 30 fans 6 monitors, and 10 drives the Extreme would probably be a better fit in that case. If you're just using an AIO or beefy heatsink fan cooler with a few drives then the Hero is probably the better fit. Out of the all the motherboards I've owned over the years, this is easily my favorite.
