I LOVE this monitor

Pros: Beautiful display, has USB, good sound and it's great for gaming

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I been searching for a gaming monitor for a while and when I saw this on sale I jumped on it and I am glad I did. I purchased 2, 1 for me and one for my wife and we love gaming on it. I play a lot of sea of thieves and now I have more screen on my left and right. It's a beautiful display, make sure you use the right cable to get the 144mhz speed.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS, rating based on the price paid

Pros: DON"T PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS! I Think they're comparing it to monitors that are $1000

I have to be realistic here people. I was so worried about this because of the mediocre reviews, but since the price was soooo good i took the leap and went ahead even though i really could not afford it at the time. $350 plus tax... on a 24 hr flash sale... YEAAH I'll take one! ($450 or lower, this thing is worth it. over that I'd get one of the 34" LG's on sale)

Ok so here's the deal, It isn't the best panel, or the most vibrant color spectrum, response time isn't that great, but I wasn't expecting it to be the same as the AlienWare $1200 model that is the same size and looks similar. previously I had a dual monitor setup with one 27" Acer, and 27" AOC, and the AOC looked Soooo much better. Basically the the IPS panels that Acer uses are on the Cheap side.

Pros I wasn't expecting:
-The base and neck of the monitor are phenomenal! You just grab the screen on both sides and you can slide the monitor all the way to the top or all the way to the desk, as well as adjust the angle much more than average monitor setup.
-It has soooo many I/O options. Usually there is only about 2 good inputs, this one has way more and they're located in a really good spot directly underneath.
-all kinds of USB 3.0's on the back. This monitor has more I/O options than ANY other monitor I've ever used.
-Gaming mode gives you the option of putting a target on the center of the screen so it's easier to hip-fire on games like Black Ops 4, and other FPS. not a big deal but worth noting.
-Lighting effects. It has adjustable RGB passive light. I have it cycling colors and in the Breathing mode. Glows from the bottom
-Packaging was really STOUT so it's got a better chance of getting to you without being damaged. BTW this thing is super heavy, but usually when it comes to electronics the heavier the better (as far as component quality)

Cons: Panel isn't great, but at it's price point it's not bad

Xz350cu

Pros: Down

Cons: Down

Other Thoughts: Hey.
I get the box and on the box there is a 200 Hz logo. I open the monitor and find out it's a200 Hz monitor. Is it the same model I pay for?

Just awesome

Pros: Surprised by how much gaming landscapes are available in true aspect ratio that this bear delivers. It's big, sure, but fits comfortably on my 36 inch desk top. Color depth is brilliant, no shadowing that I could see, and the sturdy base is not at all obtrusive. Great price and top notch performance.

Cons: The FreeSync is for ATI Radeon GPUs...mine is Nvidia. Hasn't been an issue since it runs beautifully, and has it's own Adaptive-Sync version that seems to do the trick, but I'm always curious about how much better it might be if I had the version that suits my video card.

Other Thoughts: You may want to take the negatives with a grain of salt. If you have a good to great video card, enough memory and a game-worth motherboard, it's all meant to drive a beast like this. You can put a saddle on a pig, but it won't win the Kentucky Derby...(I just made that one up :) ) SAVE THE BOX. It has a 3 year manufacturer's warranty and if you ever did need to ship it back, you'll be glad you have that perfect packing for it.

Awesome monitor FYI this thing is big

Pros: Going on a year.

Really awesome monitor cant really complain, only negative i have is trying to find a desk mount for it. I can't because its pretty heavy. The curve is awesome and I dont need dual monitors anymore when i design with this thing.

Cons: Super big and heavy but nice.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy it again or i'd buy another if I had the chance.

sucks

Pros: Nice display when its working properly.

Cons: consistently flickers and then goes black on me, the times that it comes back on by itself there are grey squares covering the whole screen. Looked through some forums about it and it is a common enough problem but there has been no fix to it so even though it is only a two year old monitor I will be getting a new one and will never buy acer products again.

Monitor is flickering and sometimes doesn't even show acer logo

Pros: - Big
- Midly Cool design

Cons: - A little of ghosting that hasn't been a problem in BF1
- Monitor is flickering a lot.
- And sometimes when I turn it on doesn't even show the acer logo.
- I live in Colombia, so ask for an RMA is going to be really painful...

Other Thoughts: - This monitor is good, i really liked it, sadly the flickering and the time to time that it doesn't turn on is killing me inside, this thing is really expensive, and I spend importing this monitor more than 200 usd.

Edit:

I wasn't able to get Guarantee on my country, and taking it back to the US was more expensive than buying another monitor.

Manufacturer Response:
Dear Fly,
We are sorry to hear you are having problems with your Acer monitor flickering. The manufacturer's warranty is a domestic warranty good in the country of purchase. If you ship/use the monitor in locations outside North America, the manufacturer's warranty would not apply. We understand it is expensive to ship the monitor in to repair, which is why we would recommend purchasing this in the country of your residence for the best support options. Warranty details on our products are posted here for your convenience, if you would like to check it out: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/standard-warranty
We appreciate you taking the time to write this review.
Regards,
Acer America
