LSI LSI00297 CacheVault Accessory kit

CacheVault technology is designed to temporarily store Cache data of the RAID controller card to NAND Flash in the event of power/system failure, and then restore the data to Cache once the power returns. This offers an effective way to protect the data integrity, which is critical in server, workstation, high-performance computing and storage system environments.

Unlike battery backup units (BBUs) utilizing lithium ion batteries, the CacheVault uses a super-capacitor, which virtually eliminates hardware maintenance costs associated with batteries, lowers total cost of ownership over the life of the controller card and provides more environmentally friendly cache protection, all while maintaining optimal RAID performance.

  • Lower total cost of ownership (TCO) with CacheVault technology by reducing hardware maintenance and disposal issues associated with lithium-ion batteries
  • Battery backup units allow for higher ambient temperatures
  • Provides additional peace of mind for compatible RAID controller cards
  • Enjoy configuration flexibility with many chassis mounting options
  • Receive longer life cache protection

In the Box:

  • CacheVault Flash Module (CVFM02)
  • CacheVault Power Module (CVPM02) with 3" cable
  • 24" remote cable extender
  • CacheVault Power Module clip
