5 out of 5 eggsLogitech

Pros: Crisp clear sound for a fantastic price. Using on a PC for movies, music and games, Wired remote is a nice feature for desk top use. Bass is more than I need with no distortion. You will not find better speakers in ths price range.

Cons: As other reviewers have noted, it would be preferable to have some kind of protective cover on the sub speaker. You need to be very careful when handling.

Other Thoughts: The surround sound playback when watching a movie are definately the strong point for these speakers. Although music and games are very good too. If you are looking for a good set and not wanting to pay $300 + these are a very good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome.

Pros: Great Product.
HD Subwoofer, Tweeter is amazing, and all other speakers have such high quality sound.
Tweeter Monitor clip is very innovative and useful.

Cons: Not a con for the product itself.. but i dont have to the room for full surround sound area.

Matrix mode doesnt get full potential in this set up. i wish i could take its full potential, but i dont have the room

Other Thoughts: other than my personal issue, these are amazing speakers, and i hughly suggest. they sound as good as my 5.1 home theatre speakers!

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: The wired controller is a very nice upgrade from not having one on the X-530. The Matrix button is Great. This is a nice entry level 5.1 system and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget 5.1. Mainly for gaming.

Cons: While sound quality is good it could be better. Would not recommend for music at high volumes, as the sub will max out and you have to turn the sub down.

Other Thoughts: If you don't need the 5.1 Spend the 30 extra on the Z-2300

3 out of 5 eggsOk for work place

Pros: This system is ok for the average pc or workplace system.

Newegg has the best deal on this system.

Cons: The Speakers are extremly cheap and the front metal cover vibrates.

Other Thoughts: Buy this for the amp and use a better Quality Speaker.

I use Advent box speakers in the front and Infinity in the rear and all works well.
The Matrix button only works 1/2 the time because of codec or something in vids.

Running via X-Fi Platinum

Pros: These speakers are excellent!! I have them running threw an Omega Striker 7.1 SC and i couldn't be happier. installation is just as easy as all speakers (color coded)

Cons: none at this time

Other Thoughts: the sound card is improving the sound quality im sure, but the speakers are still producing better and louder than i imagined

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Speakers - Amazing Price!!

Pros: These speakers are great! I have been looking around for a while and wondering if I wanted to spend the extra $$$ on the higher wattage Logitech. At first I was concerned they would not be loud enough or capable of handling higher volume levels. I was wrong, they sound great at all levels even really high with a lot of bass. Clarity and loudness go hand in hand and I can't seem to find a problem with the sound quality at all. Matrix mode is great for listening to music, and when paired with a nice HD sound card or onboard HD audio, the 5.1 hookup is easy and sounds amazing.

Cons: Cord length for the front left and right speakers. Not a big problem because they are after all meant for a computer/TV on a desk/stand.

Other Thoughts: Buy these if you are looking for great 5.1 sound and don't want to break the bank. You get more than you pay for with this system!!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Sound

Pros: - Very nice swiveling action on all the speakers, especially if you don't hang the rears.

- Speakers are of higher quality than what I was expecting.

- Rear speakers have plenty of wire. I have them mounted in a cabinet 7 feet away.

- Very sticky pads on the bottoms that keep them in place

- 5.1 surround sounds great, you can really hear things walking "behind" you

The controller and "matrix" mode are great. The volume knob is easily accessible and the bass controls are straightforward

Cons: The feature/design of the center speaker is supposed to "hook" on the top of your screen, but it more or less just balances itself and since then I've had to place it in front of the screen since it has fallen more than a few times.

Other Thoughts: If you want an inexpensive 5.1 surround sound setup this one is for you.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Deal!

Pros: Impressive sound quality considering price, incredibly loud and I'm yet to turn it up past half volume. matrix mode is nice when listening to music too.

Cons: just remembering to switch matrix mode off if I switch from music to watching a movie that has 5.1 audio, but I guess that's my own forgetfulness and not the speakers fault. Cords could be a bit longer.

Other Thoughts: Subwoofer is great, at less than half volume, my roommates start complaining it is too loud from the other room. the mounting capabilities of the speakers are nice, just worried that the plastic may break if too much stress is put on them.

5 out of 5 eggsOh' Logitech, how I love thee.

Pros: This sound system is the best sound system I have ever owned. Two months ago I sold my 2 year old set along with my old computer and regretted it since I did, they worked just ad good as new still. I figured they must be out-dated by now and I could find something within this price-range that would be better than them. After returning various systems (2.1 / 5.1) I decided to just order a new one of these, they got in today and boy am I happy. Very high quality, they go loud enough for me which is... Loud. The sub-woofer WILL surprise you. The first thing I did to break them in was drum and bass, I missed the crisp sound of these speakers and the leveled deep bass the sub-woofer provides. I should note I am an audiophile but not hardcore.. These will always put a smile on my face. I'm glad to of been reunited.

Cons: Hmm.. I'm stuggling to think of cons but any "con" I can think of can't easily be solved. Which I will now discuss in Other Thoughts.

Other Thoughts: The cord length, yes in some situations they might not be long enough but honestly I don't see that as a con, they sort of have to draw the line somewhere and need to consider what the average desirable length for the typical computer station, which I'm sure they did. I have an extremely large desk and the front ones fit with an inch or two to spare. Which to me is perfect because I have more cords packed behind and around my desk than I could count.. So having them just fit spares my the hassle of slack wire being tangled everywhere.
IF YOU DO NEED MORE LENGTH, you can easily find extension cords to do just that without needing to cut wires.. Which is a better idea since cutting the wires to make them longer would void warranty.

PLEASE READ THIS!!
You cannot simply plug in these speakers and assume everything is going to be magically perfectly leveled and functional. You need a quality sound-card that includes sufficient control options for EQ and surround adjustments.. PEACE!
