The ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 CPU cooler is an elegant joining of form and function. The honeycomb structure offers optimized airflow and the fins provide more than 6,748cm² of surface area for cooling. That combined with the 8 copper heatpipes provide over 150W of cooling power.

The included mounting brackets make this an almost universal cooling system for Intel and AMD CPUs. Intel CPUs using an LGA 775 socket and AMD processors using the 754, 939 and AM2 sockets will all get a cooling rush.

The 120mm 2-ball UFO bearing fan runs between 1,000 and 2,300 rpm. With the manual fan speed controller, you can adjust the fan speed between silent mode and max mode. Finally, the 2 blue LEDs deliver stylish glow and eye-catching fun.

5 out of 5 eggsNV 120

Pros: Cools my E8400 very well. Easy to install even for a newbie. Never gets over 52C. (according to Realtemp) when running prime95 @ 4.2+Ghz. Ambient temps around 75F. , 23C.

Cons: Fan controller hanging out the back of my case. Fan controller gets hot if fan is around 50% or more. In any case, it hasn't caused any problems for me.

Other Thoughts: Probably the best bang for your buck as far as LGA 775 CPU heatsinks in raw performance.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cooler ever?

Pros: - Looks cool!
- Keeps temps low (20c Idle / 32c Load)
- Install was easy

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: It came with little rubber sticky pads. I am not exactly sure what these are for.

5 out of 5 eggsFITS GREAT, COOLS AWESOME

Pros: I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW QUIET THE FAN REALLY IS, AND THE COOLING PERFORMANCE IS OUTSTANDING. IT DROPPED MY CPU TEMPERATURE ALMOST 20 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT

Cons: THE ONLY CON I HAVE IS TO MAKE IT FIT RIGHT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TAKE OFF ALL THE COVERS (SKINS) ON YOUR CASE ALONG WITH THE POWER SUPPLY, AND BREAK OFF THE 2 TABS ON THE BASE CLIP THAT CAME WITH THE FAN. ***E-MACHINES T6520 WITH AMD ATHLON 64/754 SOCKET***

Pros: Excellent cooler. Has a high build quality, looks nice and is sturdy.

On my core 2 duo E6750 @3.7 Ghz and 1.58 Vcore, I cannot get it above 50 Celsius in a 75 degree Fahrenheit room. On really hot days with an 85 degree room it does not exceed 56 Celsius. I even did a test once to see how cool I could get it, and with my room at 45 degrees F I got it down to 34 F with no load on the computer. No damage inflicted either!

Highly recommended cooler.

Cons: Size and price?

4 out of 5 eggsFunctions well but a paint to install and far too large

Pros: This heat sink works really, really well. I have two of these cooling two quad core Opteron processors on a Tyan motherboard. The processors run between 20-35c when they're under full load. I render long CGI animations with them constantly, running my PC like a server, and so far they seem to keep really cool all the time. The fans look cool though they're a little ridiculous just because of how huge they are.

Cons: These fans are a huge pain to install if you're trying to put two on one board. It took me about an hour and a half to install both, and it took significant modification of the locking mechanism with a few pairs of pliers to get the coolers to attach well to the MB at all. Also, it seems that these are very difficult to get off, possibly impossible to remove them the way I had to set them up on my motherboard. Because of how huge they are, they also cover a number of slots on the motherboard, which is really frustrating, especially since you have to remove the mobo to install these, but then you can't exactly plug stuff into the sockets the heatsink covers once you install the whole mobo back into the case. (Naturally, whether this will happen to you or not will depend on your motherboard... I recommend you check BEFORE installing them.)

Other Thoughts: Comes with nice thermal gel.

I'm really torn about these fans. They function phenomenally, but they're way too big and they're a huge pain to install. On another note when they're turned all the way up, the fans sound like a jet engine. Thankfully the cooler comes with a speed control so you can turn the fans down when you don't need them on full. They're actually almost completely silent when turned all the way down. I like this heat sink much more then the stock AMD ones, but it is much more difficult to set up. Attempting to install two (or... shudder... four) on the same board is not for the faint-hearted.

5 out of 5 eggsgood cooling yes-no?

Pros: this is neither a plus or negative(5 egg to get you to read) most of these large coolers work! if they didn't these companys would have a lawsuit on there hands from fried cpu owners .the avg. stock cooler stinks measure your case w 50cent mm ruller in every direction first ! then order cooler of your choice. i have the zen 120 very large & heavy on a asus micro board works good has not feel off or bent board or warped. another good cooler cm tx3 . one person used a wire to support heavy cooler.

Cons: only if to big .to tall.

Other Thoughts: i like to see bottom of cooler before i buy it &can the fan be replaced easy , will the fan blow out to back of case ,is it pwm, what material is base, how many heat pipes what mm size pipe , does it cover cpu completely ,&% of good & bad reviews etc . to much time on mine hands i quess but i read some of these reviews & wonder w/t/blank is going on here it can't be that bad . be kind to strangers.

2 out of 5 eggsDidn't have good luck.

Pros: It's huge, which would suggest good cooling capacity.

Cons: The mounting system for AMD socket AM2 is horrible. This thing is way to big and heavy for this mounting system to be mounted horizontally. It works fine at first until it starts to sag from gravity at which point only half of the square makes good contact. I re-mounted three times using arctic silver with the same results. I went back to my stock cooler and I'm getting much more reliable results.

Other Thoughts: This heatsink got high ratings so my experience may be a fluke. My Motherboard is an Asus M2N32SLI Premium. When NV120 heatsink sags the fan starts hitting the northbridge heatsink on the mobo. I would not suggest this cooler for this Mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: I paid $45.99 back on 4/9/2008 and it had a $15 MIR. It's ran great and performs as well as my TRUE 120, Xigmatek 1283, and Zalman 9700 LED.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsAmd Users be caareful

Pros: It does cool great at first.

Cons: After about a month the base plate starts not to disspate the ehat anymore? This is the secodn one I had and the same thing happens. I dont know if Intel users have the same problem? At first temps were great 27c idle and all four cores 100% load never went above 49c.
After 3 weeks temps started going up now it runs (second time this has happened) 47 idle/63 full load..

Other Thoughts: After taking it off it seems it does not contact the cpu well enough after a few weeks.. I know I know what I am doing so it has to be the cooler. Even with arctic silver thinly applied and a little thicker applied with a ruler..(best way to spread it by the way)
It starts to warp is all I can say.. You can see it.. Just wish I can return it for another just to see if it happens again if so then its the cooler!

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Not as HUGE as people make it sound but def not for a micro ATX case. May have to remove the side fan or tube. It is the most silent 120mm fan Ive ever not heard.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The 3 pin fan connector DOES go on the mobo - just put it on the first 3 pins.
