5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Does a great job of cooling my Radeon 4870 (HIS 'IceQ' version). Took the idle temp down a couple of degrees C (idles at 43C), but under load it was a whole *30C* cooler. The HIS cooler screamed under load and the temperature was 80C+, when under load the Accelero kept the GPU at 50 to 52C. I used Arctic Silver 5 on the heatsink. Best of all, it's SILENT!. With my AZZA Helios case and its large quiet fans I get good airflow but playing games doesn't sound like take-off any more.

Cons: Thermal goop on the heatsink stuck to the plastic packaging, strange there was no protective tape on it. Didn't bother me though since I was going to clean it off anyway to use Arctic Silver 5. One of the memory heatsink needs to be 'dremmelled' to grind it down at an angle on the one nearest the PCIe connector and angled down towards the GPU socket so that one of the heatpipes on the cooler will fit - This on the Radon 4870.

Other Thoughts: Makes the graphics card a lot wider. Be careful if you have a case like mine (AZZA Helios 910) with a large side fan, it may be a tight fit. Fortunately it did just fit so I have a 230mm fan blowing air over it. ATI and NVidia seriously need to take some cues from the aftermarket heatsink people. This is a heatsink done right.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, after tweaking

Pros: Idle temps at 29c for ATI4830 with the turbo fan running. I have seen this card idle at 36-45c in the two cases I have used it in(good/bad case airflow)
Quiet!! I do not hear the computer anymore. Period :-)))

Cons: Installation may require some tweaking depending on your card. The spacers that came with the cooler were too thick for the Sapphire 4830 I have. I ended up chucking the spacers and tightening(very carefully!!!) by hand. Tighten to contact and then just 12 more turns on every screw, no more than that. Unfortunately the stock voltage regulator heatsink and some capacitors were too tall ,so I have to trim 1/8" off the fins where needed to make it fit and file down the reinforcing bracket. Just to make sure it does not pull too hard on the Mb in my tower cace, I used some speaker magnet wire to make a support line to the top of the case. Is holding very well.

Other Thoughts: Even though I did not have the easiest install, THIS THING ROCKS!! I no longer hear the whine of the vga fan even with the turbo cooler fans going full bore!!!
Be prepared to have a tall and long card though. If you have a case that can handle a large CPU heat-sink, you should be fine.
I did not have any trouble with the heatsinks. I cleaned with Isopropyl Alchohol first and then used an eraser as recommended by the manufacturer.

4 out of 5 eggsBig Cooler Big Drops

Pros: Put this on a XFX NVidia GeForce 8800GS when the fan was going. The Avg. temp on the old OEM fan was GPU: 61C, PCB 42C. Without the Arctic Cooling Module Sleeve the card went to GPU: 52C (lot lower), PCB 42C (same). With the fan it dropped to GPU: 49C (lower), PCB 40.5 (lower). This is really good.

Cons: Lost an egg due to the design/size/height of the thing. I believe Arctic Cooling could've made a shorter design without using too much of the functionality if they really wanted to. Not really a negative to those with a huge case, but bad for people like me I can't put the lid back on (guess that keeps things cool too but I have kids that will throw things into the case). Word of caution: be sure to measure the space in your case before you buy this GPU unit to ensure it fits and realize this cooler sits higher than any stock GPU cooling fan I've seen.

Other Thoughts: If you’re going to do it properly, the install of this thing should take about an hour or so. That includes all the time for removing the card, removing the sticky tape to the heat sinks (as well as the sticky residue with ArctiClean), removing the stock GPU grease from the GPU and the Accelero S1 (with ArctiClean). Finally, as recommended by others applying Arctic thermal adhesive for the heat sinks (not the GPU cooler or GPU), and then using Arctic Silver 5 for the GPU unit. That was where the majority of time was spent. Just keep in mind that Arctic thermal adhesive will cement up and thus make it impossible to remove the heat sinks it's applied to - so be sure you really want to commit to this cooler unit first. If you don't use the thermal adhesive the heat sinks will fall off. You don't want to use the thermal adhesive on the GPU cooler or CPU cooler because there may be times you want to remove them (thus why they make Arctic Silver 5).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Silenced dual XFX 9600 GSO's, which were deafening. Lowered idle temperatures by 10C to 37C and 42C respectively, on full load neither rise above 55C. Installation easy and straightforward.

Cons: Need to buy a longer SLI bridge to go around the larger coolers. Makes only marginal performance difference from what I've observed.

Other Thoughts: Case is NZXT Tempest, so has good ventilation. Turbo modules unnecessary. Also has empty slot between cards which may make a difference as well.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year update

Pros: after 1 year of very heavy use, this cooler keeps my overclocked 8800gt silent and much colder than i thought possible. the gpu almost never tops 55 degrees where it used to hit 75, and idles at around 41c. will only hit 70 degrees now running atitool artifact scan until the temp plateaus, but in games it will never reach that temp. i don't even have a fan on it, just case fans. i had to reapply an adhesive to the ram sinks, but no big deal.

Cons: it is true that the ramsinks are not as sticky as they should be, but part of this can be user error, and also i had one fall off and the card ran fine for around a month and i never noticed. not enough to take away an egg.

Other Thoughts: i would automatically buy this for any new graphics card it would work on.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: reduces sound to zero, not very expensive. comes with a vented bracket for the next slot in your case

Cons: somewhat hard to install, build quality?

Other Thoughts: this was the best money i've spent on my system so far. as far as bang for the buck goes. i had a 9600gt with the stock cooler that was unbearably loud that made using the computer a chore. i could hear the computer running from 30ft away. this keeps temps low and seems very efficient.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Cooler

Pros: Confirmed to fit both Gigabyte 8800GT OC and HD4850 OC boards. Cools well if you have decent airflow in your case. Cools extremely well when you put a 120mm fan blowing across it. Can drop temps by as much as 25F. Can get my HD4850 above 4870 speeds with gaming temps below 66F and idle temps at 42F.

Cons: nothing to mention here

Other Thoughts: Purchased 4 years ago for my 8800GT and then got HD4850 and it works perfectly on that GPU as well. Awesome deal. Thanks Arctic Cooling.

5 out of 5 eggshuge heatsinks

Pros: its silent no more fans i cant hear my pc running anymore... dropped temps on my gpu to 37c on idle (8600 gts)

Cons: this thing is way bigger than i expected wasnt really a problem just had to cut away a little bit of the fins for my sli cable to pass threw

Other Thoughts: previous zalman cooler fan was starting to get loud and ineffective so i looked for a new solution and found this previous temps were 45c idle no real load test now this thing drops that down to 37c and its silent

4 out of 5 eggsFinally! Low Temps....

Pros: -Low temperatures with a fan attached on both idle and Load
-Most fans you put on this thing will probably be quieter than stock fans at 100%

Cons: -Installation

Other Thoughts: If the temperature is still very high (with a fan) then something probably isn't installed correctly. When I first took this cooler off because of high temps, most of the thermal paste was still smooth which meant that the GPU didn't really come into full contact with the cooler so I did some extra stuff.
Here's some tips:
-Rubbing alcohol on the tape under the RAM/VRM sinks. It kind of activates the tape more.
-Having a GTS250, I hade to bend the lowest right ramsink a bit to fit the cooler. So, don't be afraid to bend stuff.
-If you have a square bracket from another video card, use it. You screw in these things on the back of the card which helps push the GPU forward for better contact. I had one from my old HD4850.
-Lastly, screw the screws in tightly. On my final re-installation of this thing, I turned the screws in until they didn't turn anymore.
Temps now? Outside temp isn't too hot or too cold. GPU temps, idle is low 30s, load is high 40s.

5 out of 5 eggsSilence is Golden.

Pros: - Relatively Easy to Install.
- Silent. (I also have 4 noctua NF-P12, so you can't hear the computer at all)

Cons: - Doesn't fit into my Antec 900 case with side fan or my motherboard as is because of the Sata plug. Needed to remove the Plastic Ends and now it fits perfectly.
- Thermal Paste is okay, Used Arctic Silver 5 instead

Other Thoughts: Overall I really like the cooler. I literally installed this few minutes ago so I do not know how well the cooling really is, but my main concern was the noise as it was really loud with the stock 8800gt fan. With my 4 my noctua fans and my antec 900 case I am not too concerned with the air flow. I would highly recommend it.
