1 out of 5 eggsNice Hardware, Horrible Software!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Nice hardware with decent build quality. Decent price for the cooling capability delivered.

Cons: Corsair Link software fails to work correctly under Win8, and the USB interface for control has known issues with Intel USB drivers, causing you to have to configure the BIOS for legacy mode. Corsair has been promising fixes for over a year, and it's just more of the same bad software for control.

Other Thoughts: If Corsair ever fixes Corsair Link, this might be worth the price. But save yourself the frustration, and buy something else. Don't expect Corsair Link to work with their power supplies or fan control either. Corsair Link is broken, with no fix in sight.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cooler

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Keeps my cpu cold, can't ask for a lot more. However corsair link software is junk.

Cons: Corsair software flashed the firmware as soon as I installed it. Now I have to fight with it to keep the led color correct.

1 out of 5 eggsCorsair H100i

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: The cooler was easy to install. Keeps my temperature low when idle and can hold up some overclocking. No pump noise.

Cons: This is were I really put my review.

Corsair, you really disappointed me on that one. Case, fans, PSU, RAM and even your SSDs, I love everything about you guys. But when it comes to THIS cooler, you let me down. Corsair is a big name with big expectations and you've delivered so far. But searching on Google for "H100i problems", there are 463 000 results and not a single OFFICIAL answer, just some forum threads. The material works great, the problem is Corsair Link. Do you still put time and effort into this software guys? I know you just released a new version, but it's still the same. No instructions for troubleshooting or re updating firmware. My pump switched to purple, fan were always at 100% and temps on my 4790k just kept flashing red. Every software detect my temps correctly, but yet again not Corair Link. I had to buy a Y splitter to connect my fans directly to my CPU header and disconnect the usb cable to stop Corsair Link from messing my stuff up. Also, even if this technique might not be recommended by you, do you think it's normal to have to play in my registry if I REALLY wanted to make everything work properly?(Because that was the only fix I found before disconnecting everything) I think you already know the answer... So now I got a normal cooler with all the bells ans whistles disabled because they just don't work.

Other Thoughts: Could come with double the set of long screw (16x screws) for push-pull configuration WHICH I wanted to do with the original fans and some Corsair SP120.

Fix your stuff Corsair...

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Cooling

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Noise level is low
Install was easy
Drops CPU temp by 20c

Cons: The Y cable used for fan connection has tabs you need to slide off so the pins are shown the manual does not show this

Other Thoughts: The con is only included for people that looked at both the Y cable and fan cable and said this wont work and spent a few minutes scratching their head

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair; solid as always.

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Pre-setup liquid cooler; can't ask for more.

Keeps my Haswell 6-core (12 processors) running at 40C under load...amazing.

All around a solid piece of equipment that performs as was promised for a reasonable price.

*IMPORTANT* If you're reading these reviews and have a mid tower, or smaller, or possibly even an Antec full tower case, read the cons for important info.

Cons: Recommend full tower cases for this part due to the size of the cooler itself. Most full towers that are marketed as gaming towers should accommodate installation easily.

However if you're using an Antec full tower (from experience) it will not fit in the top part of the case; What I personally did, was connect the two case fans, to the radiator, with the two fans that came with the radiator rotated and reconnected to the grill to where it now has 4 fans, and also fits snugly inside the case with 4 fans, now cooling the radiator.

I will supply a link to pictures and more indepth instructions later but it ended up working out better than intended, but required a bit of thought. Remember to have the motherboard bare (all parts removed off of it) before doing what I described.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooling option!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: I was recently building a computer and I had never used anything besides traditional spinning fans with big heat syncs. However, the processor that I got on my new computer is very fast and has more than four cores, so all of the traditional fans would have been huge, consuming a lot of space, and weighing heavily on my motherboard. After being worried about that I purchased this guy and it has not disappointed. It is very easy to install and leaves open a ton of space in your case. It also has options to monitor and change the fan speeds which is a cool feature.

Another nice thing is that the fan is really quiet, I can barely hear it and it does a far better job cooling my CPU than traditional fans would have.

Cons: None! Great product!

Other Thoughts: Depending on what kind of case you got, you might have to take out the fan on the top of your case. The cooling brick sits at the top of the case, so you are going to need to make sure that there is free space up there.

The unit comes with thermal compound already on it, but I would suggest to buy your own Arctic Silver and put it on yourself. I'm not sure how good the thermal compound they use is, but Arctic Silver has always been really good for me and will last a very long time!
