4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Excellent consistent temps, quiet, easy, outstanding customer service and RMA. Corsair Link is great to have with lots of user-created profile options.

Cons: Would give 5 eggs, but my circulation pump did fail after a couple of months. Otherwise,

Other Thoughts: Luckily I was at the computer when the pump failed, and saw it happen before the temps got too high. BUT -- RMA process was easy, and Corsair shipped out a whole brand new unopened H100i the same day they received my old one. No questions, no hassle, super quick excellent service. Can't say enough good things about that particular experience. New unit has been perfect, and pump is actually quieter than the first one. Have been very happy with all of Corsair's products I've tried so far.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Keeps my overclocked FX6300 @ 4.51GHz around 40c while stress testing with Prime95.

Customization LEDs to match the rest of my motherboard / fans.

Pretty easy to install. Without the use of a manual.

Cons: Can be a bit on the loud side. Air cooling is definitely lower on the noise levels. But I supposed if you're looking for extreme cooling you should expect it to be a little louder.

Would've been nice if it came with 4 fans instead of two. That way it could be ran as a push pull.

Other Thoughts: Great cooler for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsdoes it's job well

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: install was easy, minus needing a set of nylon washers to keep the bracket snug against the mobo. keeps my 3770k@4.6ghz at 1.2v at 50C while gaming with fans at 67%. software works fine for me on windows 7. just has a learning curve. to get the fans to work with a curve, you must set the group drop down to CPU temp(not pump temp). cuz the liquid temp never goes above 30c so it won't activate the curve. fans@67% are quieter than my gtx970 fans. the led control is great to match your case lighting

Cons: needing to buy nylon washers for a z77 mobo is kind of ridiculous

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Silent. I have this cooling an i7 (still stock @ 4ghz) and it stays around 30c. The fans only have to spin at <1000 RPM to keep the temp here. Installation was pretty simple too.

Cons: Two points that bugged me and caused the loss of an egg.

1. One of the mounts for the radiator looked had what appeared to be corrosion. I'm not 100% on this as it was right around the screw hole. Could have just been paint that didn't cover that spot or flaked off for some reason.

2. The fan controller ports on the side of the pump have splitter cables that connect to them. I realized that I had plugged the cable in the wrong port (to have a tidy looking case) so I depressed the level and gently pulled the plug out, well either I don't know my own strength or the construction of the clip connection was shoddy cause the clip broke the piece of plastic that holds the connector in. If I want to do a push pull configuration in the future I'll have to super glue the splitter cable into that slot. This isn't a huge issue because as I mentioned it could have been my fault, just be really extra careful with those connections.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm really impressed with this cooler. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Cooling Solution

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Easy installation. Tremendous results. Small footprint inside the case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I decided on this cooling solution after doing a ton of research. I have been extremely satisfied with its performance. I have been able to successfully overclock an Intel i7 2600K with it to 4.4 Ghz. I am now using it on my new build with an Intel i7 3770K overclocked to 4.8 Ghz. At full load using Prime95, the H100i keeps the 3770K at between 70-75C. At idle, the temps are 20-25C, basically room temperature. With my 2600K at 4.4 Ghz, I saw temps at about 60-65C at full load. The cooler temps versus air cooling allow the processor to perform to its maximum capacity without fear of burning it up. The best part is the small footprint inside the case compared to the large bulky fin based air cooling solutions. No interference with RAM or other hardware with this at all.

One final thought--the installation, while fairly straightforward, does require a bit of planning for the installation of the radiator and fans because of their size. It definitely helps to have a case that is designed with a liquid cooling solution in mind. Otherwise, a major modification to your case will be required. Also, it is important to make sure the water block is seated properly on the CPU and is not hung up on any of the parts and pieces of the motherboard that are in close proximity to the CPU socket. Finally, make sure you install the back plate for the water block correctly. The instructions explain how to do this--there is only one correct way to install it. Any variation from the correct orientation will result in the water block not being properly seated on the CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Cool

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Stays Cool and quiet on a i7-4790K @ 4.8Ghz. Never exceeding 36C during gaming and work use.

The stock fans really pump out a lot of air even on low. I was impressed at its cooling capability and it even out performed my Noctua NH-D14 in push pull push configuration.

Installation and build quality is easy and strong. Very sturdy build quality.

The additional plastic washers allowed for a solid fit and I recommend using them.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Perfect fit for my Corsair 380T Mini-ITX build. 3-5mm of clearance between motherboard. Flat fan cables fit perfect for cable management.

Measurement of radiator with fans installed is 52mm.

3 out of 5 eggsCools Great, Loud pump noise

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Cools Great!, Keeps my processor under around 27c at idle.

Cons: Very loud and annoying pump whine/noise. Stock fans are very loud as well.

The pump noise is distracting enough that I had to knock two stars off.

5 out of 5 eggsvery happy with it

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: pump is nice and quiet. i replaced the stock fans with a pair of coirsair quiet edition SP fans and the entire unit is wisper quiet. The cables are much less obtrusive than I thought they'd be. It's also improved the over all look and airflow of my case.

Cons: The corsairlink software is noticeably buggy. aparently if you get an older unit and upgrade the firmware it will cause glitches like profiles and LED colors not loading correctly. mine seems to have somehow fixed its self and hasnt glitched for a bit.

Other Thoughts: The temps arn't as low as id like but to be fair to corsair ive got it top mounted with low rpm SP push fans only. if I front mounted it with some higher rpm fans I'm pretty sure I'd see a biger drop in temps.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Purchase

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Easy install, looks great, keeps CPU cool. I have a 4770K at 4.6ghz/core at idle I'm at 28C. Under full load and stress does not break 40C.

Cons: No Dust Shields- Make sure your case has Dust Shields in the area you will be mounting the radiator, or the fans will suck it straight into your case.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm

Pros: Cheap for what it does. Does exactly what you need it too though. Currently running at 16-19C idle temps with a processor thats known to run hot. Havent gone above 30C yet.

Cons: Does not fit well at all with the Antec 1200 case. You have to finagle it in and its a giant pain in the rear so once its in dont ever take it out.

Not a fan of the mount for the AMD processors. Too much wiggle in it for me. It is simple to put on though. Just uses two screw clamps so its really simple.

While it does come with its own thermal grease already on it Id recommend cleaning it off and using your own. Book says it was Arctic Silver already but it was a little dry.

Lots of people having problems with windows 8.1 Corsair link compatibility. Luckily there is an easy work around fix. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=120962

Comes with only 2 Corsair fans so if you want to set up a push/pull then you need to buy 2 more. Definitely want to go with the same ones it comes with otherwise you want to buy 4 so they match. I tried buying 2 of a different brand but even though they were the same RPM rating they never quite synced up with the Corsair ones and created some backpressure issues that actually caused it to run warmer than just using the 2 it came with.

Other Thoughts: Full setup:
CPU: AMD FX-9590 Vishera 8-Core 4.7GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z
Backup HD: WD BLACK SERIES WD2003FZEX 2TB 7200 RPM
CPU cooling: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i
RAM: Team Vulcan 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Video Card: 3 x EVGA 04G-P4-2768-KR GeForce GTX 760 4GB
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE500BW 2.5" 500GB
Power: CORSAIR AXi series AX1200i 1200W
