Redefining cooling performance for space restricted environments, GeminII M4 is engineered to maximize cooling with its minimal CPU contact gaps and four extremely efficient direct contact heat pipes that provide excellent heat dissipation. Standing at a mere 59mm / 2.3in tall, it is uniquely suited to thrive in the small spaces afforded to CPU coolers in HTPCs and other slim systems.

A unique heat pipe layout is utilized that orients the heat pipes to direct the flow of heat more efficiently to the aluminum fins where the heat is exhausted. Much like the GeminII S524, GeminII M4 features an airflow design that is 90 degree rotated to avoid heat radiating from the motherboard. In turn, this orientation simultaneously provides a steady airflow to motherboard chipsets surrounding the CPU socket.

  • newegg All are for cooling The 4 direct contact heat pipes, in “U-shape” and “C-shape” layout, go through base and aluminum fins for efficient heat conduction and dissipation. Besides that, the newly developed slim fan delivers impressive airflow cooling with up to 58.4 CFM airflow. On top of that, the base is engineered to offer minimal gap between CPU and heatsink to maximize heat transfer to your heatsink.
  • newegg Not only cool CPU Besides voluminous airflow, the included fan delivers 90 degree rotated airflow to avoid heat radiating from the motherboard and cool motherboard chipsets surrounding the CPU socket.
  • newegg For limited space applications GeminII M4 is only 59mm/2.3in in height with fan* attached, perfect for use in HTPC or slim systems. (*the fan is only 15mm thick.)

2 out of 5 eggsMy first low profile cooling solution

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Feels solid. Very quiet, I can barely hear it running. Looks great.

Cons: Mine doesn't seem to work as good as the stock cooler that came with my FX-8350. And this absolutely baffles me. It actually runs so poorly that I had to take the very slight overclock off that I had running on the stock fan.

Other Thoughts: I love cooler master but I was really sad to see this perform so poorly. I reinstalled it twice to make sure everything was on just right. And checked fan speeds to make sure it was running correct. I don't know why mine is so bad. At least its quiet, I just cant use the computer for intense use anymore. I will be replacing for the loud stock cooler so It runs better. I don't want to pay to send this one back so I guess I'm stuck with it. I may try and put it in something that won't be under much load. That said I still trust the CM name, I just cannot recommend this particular cooler.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler, Worse than useless heat sink compound

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Best low profile cooler for keeping case noise low. Uuuuuge, slow spinning 120mm fan compared to most lo-pro coolers.

Cons: DO NOT use the heatsink compound that comes with it. Mine was this runny grey mess, more like elmer's school glue than heat sink compound. My processor was thermal throttling within 10 minutes and eventually just crashed. Replaced with my emergency tube of generic white HSC and all was well.

Other Thoughts: Yeah. I know, I know. Never use HSC that comes with the cooler. Well I was out of Arctic Silver and my Cooler Master fanboyism got the best of me. I hope it was just my package, until now I've had nothing but awesome products out of them. Still a fanboy, just not as rabid as I used to be :-/

5 out of 5 eggsLove the design.

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: -Does a great job keeping the processor cool and running.
-Excellent and low profile design,
-Looks good in a windowed case.

Cons: -No cons

Other Thoughts: The fan is kind of awkward the way it mounts to the heat sink fins. Be careful and pay close attention taking if off if you need to.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible value and flexibility

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Price to performance, aesthetics, low noise output, ease of installation. This cooler represents fantastic performance to price. It is very easy to install, the footprint allows for plenty of clearance for high profile memory as well as not impeding on the first PCIe lane area.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I've used this cooler in a number of different builds for clients. A low price point combined with great performance keeps me coming back to this unit. The downdraft style lets me fit this into many slim cases while retaining very strong cooling capability. Air movement over heatsinks and nearby components in low profile cases is fantastic.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Installation was easy, even comes with thermal paste. I'm using this on AMD 8350 with 2U Case which keeps relatively cool around 50 Celsius. Since I don't have much room for air in take i'm using additional fans to supply air to the cooler.

Cons: The fan good be a bit better as it's plastic, will see how well it functions overtime. Might replace it later with another slim fan.

1 out of 5 eggsLGA 2011 Motherboards

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: It is Slim

Cons: Despite the box advertising 2011 comparability the screws are two sort or the brackets are too high. It IS NOT COMPATIBLE with 2011 CPUs out of the box.

Other Thoughts: Not sure how fix a logistic issue like this, these seem like the brackets where not tested ahead of shipping the product.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Somewhat quiet, keeps cpu cool.

Cons: The heat sink fan has very poor mounting latches. Continuously slides down heat sink over time, contacting my GPU. Could not find a way to keep it secure. Ended up tossing it and reusing stock heatsink.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the trouble that you are experiencing with the Geminii M4. The Geminii M4 does have a 2 year warranty so you can submit a part request for the replacement fan clips.
