Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The copper base and 4 copper heatpipes conduct heat fast; high-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation area, plus dual 92mm, 1800RPM sleeve bearing fan to deliver optimal cooling performance.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master RR-920-N520-GP features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775 and 1366 platform.

Cooler Master’s Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of mainstream CPUs. The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility - Intel LGA 1156 socket. The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features "heatpipe direct contact" technology for efficient heat conduction, plus high-density aluminum fins for maximum heat dissipation. The 92mm fan runs efficiently to deliver unparalleled cooling performance.
  • newegg Expandable for a Second Fan Add a 2nd cooling fan (optional) to the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 to achieve the best possible cooling performance!
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as Intel LGA 775 and 1156 platforms.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Unmatched performance for the value, these are the tenants that guided Cooler Master engineers when designing the Hyper 212 EVO. Patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) technology ensures that the heat pipes are free of barriers while drawing heat away from the processor. A PWM fan ensures that fan speed can be intelligently controlled to ensure that it only speeds up when more cooling is necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the $$

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: • ~27C high 20s on idle (i7 4790K no OC yet)
• ~55C high 50s while gaming
• Installation isn't that bad. Take it slow / watch a few youtube tutorials. It helped me greatly.
• Fits nicely on my Corsair 230T case, with about half an inch clearance. Also clears my ram HyperX Fury with a 5mm adjustment
• I think the thermal paste that came with this great.

Cons: size? but that goes without saying.
Edges of the fins are sharp, be careful handling this.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again.

Not really a con but the fan can got loud on higher RPMS when I played with it in the BIOS, but it's not like it would need to run that high with this good of a cooler ;)

5 out of 5 eggsCM 212 Evo

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Great product, thermal paste included. Solid price for its purpose. Easy to install even with high profile memory sticks. CPU is running in solid cool temperatures in OC, much cheaper alternative to water cooling for those who aren't interested in maxing OC ratios.

Cons: Size. The heat sink is huge, product differs ever slightly from actual size. While it cleared my case please make sure that you have extra room available. If you plan on installing side panel fan(s) I suggest reading your case specs and make sure there is enough room to do so. This is something minor for me personally and not a reason to deduct an egg as I knew what I was getting into.

Other Thoughts: If you're in search for cheap cooling option, Evo 212 is the way to go!

5 out of 5 eggsblown away at this upgrade

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This is a no nonsense cooler that is fairly easy to install. It's so quiet even under load and the static pressure fan pushes a ton of air if placed right in the case. I highly recommend this if you are having some problems with temps. Get rid of your stock cooler, my temps dropped by 20C at idle and under load. My CPU is clocked at 4.0ghz and I think this cooler could definitely handle a slight overclock. This is a necessity for any serious builder. I feel ashamed for getting this so late into my first build.

Cons: The installation was awkward... It wasn't the hardest thing but the instruction manual didn't have any clear instruction about what to place with AMD vs Intel for the mounting brace. Luckily with some help I was able to get the screws aligned and was able to install it after that snag.

Other Thoughts: If you can, and you'd like, I recommend taking out your video card to be able to line up your mounting brace with the notch where it goes. Hope nobody has the same trouble I did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Excellent Thermal Transfer
Very quiet Fan
Painless Installation

Cons: Price.

It is a crying shame that companies like Cooler Master can't strike a deal with Intel to include this type of quality with their processors. A real shame. The stock one is a total waste, and we all know it.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Keeps my cpu running cool.

Cons: Not enough to take off an egg, but the included installation instructions are worthless.

It does take a certain amount of force to get the radiator bracket in place. When I installed mine, the screws actually were about 1mm above the standoffs. Just use a little bit of pressure to compress the springs and get each screw started. I would suggest mounting onto the motherboard before installing in the chassis, if possible.

Other Thoughts: There are plenty of youtube videos explaining how to install. If you are unsure, look up a couple of them, as they will be much more informative than the lousy "instructions" included in the packaging.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Keeps my 4690K cool at 4.7GHz. CPU idles at 30C, averages mid 50s during heavy gaming. During P95 small fft it hits low 80s. Wasn't too difficult to install. Check youtube if you need help.

Cons: Larger than I expected, but not a problem.

Other Thoughts: Some people saying you can't OC with air coolers. WELL I GUESS I SHOWED THEM!

5 out of 5 eggsAlways Keeps em Cool

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Mounts to just about anything.

Fits in an ANTEC Sonata case and keeps the CPU nice and chilly.

Cons: I own 4 of these (one from Newegg and 3 from a local brick and mortar) and they all, every single one, had something bent or damaged while still in the package. Nothing that affects functionality, but certainly takes the shine off that brand new pretty.

The one I got from the egg had the silica bag rupture at some point, and the little silica beads had been force-wedged between some of the lower fins. I had to pry them out with a dental pick. No big deal, it still works fine, but like I said, not so pretty on the bottom side anymore. One of the three I purchased locally had the exact same issue, but since I run them in Antec Sonata cases it does not bother me much as they will never be seen except when doing routine cleaning.

Other Thoughts: Keeps the i7 4790K between 60-70 degrees C while under max load with fan running at about 1900 rpm. Keep in mind this is in an Antec Sonata III (these cases are not meant for cooling, more for quiet) with a GTX 970 superclocked video card in there with it, also running max load.

SUPER FAST BUILD. Running Folding@home for 7 straight days, averaging 64K PPD and running cool, pulling 294 watts from the wall (including Samsung 27 in. monitor).

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: great budget fan cpu, cools great, keeps my G3258 OC at 4.4ghz 1.30v nice with idle to load temps from 30-60c.

Cons: if you have a small case it is big, but it is probably designed to take up as much area as possible.

5 out of 5 eggsConfusing to put together, works like a champ.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This thing is a beast when it comes to keeping your PC cool.

Cons: HUGE! You may need to see if you need to get low profile RAM, if you don't, it could be trouble.

Instructions are written pretty poorly and pretty confusing to be 100% honest.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, thing is huge.
