Cooler Master's RR-920-N520-GP "Hyper N520" combines a stylish, elegant design with silent operation and a brilliant cooling solution. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 1366, 775 and AMD Socket (AM3/AM2+/AM2) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the space cooled by over 43 CFM of airflow from the dual 92mm fans.

A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Five 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance The copper base and 4 copper heatpipes conduct heat fast; high-density aluminum fins maximize heat dissipation area, plus dual 92mm, 1800RPM sleeve bearing fan to deliver optimal cooling performance.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master RR-920-N520-GP features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as the Intel LGA 775 and 1366 platform.

Cooler Master’s Hyper TX series has evolved with requirements of mainstream CPUs. The introduction of Hyper TX3 marks another milestone with Cooler Master's first-ever full compatibility - Intel LGA 1156 socket. The Hyper TX3 also brings back the "original" direct contact heat-pipe design from Cooler Master.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features "heatpipe direct contact" technology for efficient heat conduction, plus high-density aluminum fins for maximum heat dissipation. The 92mm fan runs efficiently to deliver unparalleled cooling performance.
  • newegg Expandable for a Second Fan Add a 2nd cooling fan (optional) to the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 to achieve the best possible cooling performance!
  • newegg PWM Function The PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Cooler Master Hyper TX3 features broad compatibility with AMD socket 754, 939, 940, and AM2 platforms, as well as Intel LGA 775 and 1156 platforms.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

Unmatched performance for the value, these are the tenants that guided Cooler Master engineers when designing the Hyper 212 EVO. Patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) technology ensures that the heat pipes are free of barriers while drawing heat away from the processor. A PWM fan ensures that fan speed can be intelligently controlled to ensure that it only speeds up when more cooling is necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsBest after market air cooler.

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Cheap; it outclasses many coolers more expensive. Universal, including the new LGA 2011 socket. Quiet. Multi configurable options concerning air flow direction and fan push/pull/push+pull configuration. Legacy reputation; has been around for so long and has stood the test of time.

Cons: Instructions can be better written and illustrated. When properly installed, unit will still exhibit slight rotation if force is applied. Slight disassembly is required during installation (it's packaged with the fan installed in the push configuration and it must be removed or else installation is not possible). Large. Not as cosmetically appealing as many after market coolers.

Other Thoughts: All criticisms are truly nitpicking for the price and performance. Cosmetically, it can be considered clean, minimal, and very form over function. Using this with a Xeon E3-1241 v3 for increased Turbo opportunities and decreased sound.

5 out of 5 eggsMaster Hyper 212 EVO

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: This heat-sink is amazing! I was running the stock CPU cooler on my PC for about 6 months, didnt know how much of a difference a custom heat-sink would do until I actually installed this one, my CPU temp was usually running around 70-90c during BF4 game play, when I installed this new heatsink my CPU was running 50c constantly during gaming on High/Ultra graphics, I gotta say this has been one of the most important pieces to my PC build

Cons: None thus far, loving the new heatsink

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: -Good quality
-Great price
-Excellent cooling

Cons: Almost too tall. Just barely fit in my case, that might be a problem for some, So do your measurements if you have a small case.

Other Thoughts: This cooler literally cut my CPU temps in half. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU Cooler

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Keeping my non-overclocked I5 3.4Ghz running 29C-2% Load to 51C-90% Load. The system is on 24/7 and I game for several hours at a time and it only reached 51C once.

Cons: No case sticker.

Other Thoughts: My Phantom 410 Case hase 3 120mm intake fans 2 140mm exhaust fans and 1 120mm exhaust fan on the other side of the CPU cooler pulling air though it as well. my power supply has a 120mm fan and my graphics card has 2 90mm fans.

5 out of 5 eggsis it broke?

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Awesome cooler. when I first turned it on, I really thought that it was broken somehow because it was so quiet. It keeps my intel i5 less than 40c while playing games. Farcry 3 ultra settings for a couple hours, still under 40c.

Cons: It would be a con if you didn't purchase this fan. It is big also, had to get some low profile RAM to fit.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge but works great

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Very quiet and cool, fairly easy to install

Cons: A lot bigger than I expected, also very heavy. I would recommend a larger than mid atx case

Other Thoughts: This is probably the best cooler you can get for the money, and stays extremely quiet and cool, just be sure you have enough space to install it.

5 out of 5 eggsIs it on?

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: Quieter than a spiders fart. Cooler than Vanilla Ice. Lighter than one of the Olsen twins. My AMD FX-8350 is so cool now it doesn't turn around when there is an explosion, it just keeps on walking.

Cons: I had to move into a bigger house to make room for this thing. Makes it look like my computer it's compensating for something. Did not come with snuggie.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price!

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: It does a great job cooling down my haswell CPU. Much better than the stock intel cooler. It comes with everything you need in the box to finish the installation.

Cons: The instrucions that come in the box are awful! I don't know who wrote them but they are confusing as hell and some of them are even plain wrong.
One of the bolts that holds the X bracket broke while I was trying to tighten it and I had to order another one so I can install it properly. Be carefull when you tighten those.
