Industry-leading technologies The SAMSUNG SH-224BB burner is armed with an array of industry-leading technologies such as Buffer Underrun Free technology, Speed Adjustment Technology (S.A.T), Magic Speed, Double O.P.C technology and Tilt Actuator Compensation (T.A.C) for smooth disc reading and enhanced writing reliability. With Magic speed, you can select the reading speed of CD disc between Maximum Speed Mode (Max Mode) and Silent Mode. Buffer Underrun Free technology prevents "buffer underrun" errors in which the data transmission speed is not as fast as the data writing speed when you record data.

New Every Two 5/11/2013 12:19:36 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Bargain Pros: A great deal that would be hard to beat. Works faster than the drive it replaced. Painless installation. Cons: Eject button is a bit on the small side and can be hard to press unless you are looking right at it, at least until you get used to it. A minor nitpick. Lack of a box or cables IS NOT A CON FOR THIS DRIVE! That's why it says OEM! Oh, yeah, and the drive appears to be discontinued at this point so you probably can't buy it now even if you want to. But I had some spare time so I wrote this review anyway. Other Thoughts: Mine came with ten (10!) copies of the quickstart guide, so either they thought it needed a little more packaging or they wanted to make extra sure I knew how to install it. If you didn't get one with your drive, I might have yours! Oh well, tough it out, they are not hard to install anyway! And on a mostly unrelated note, it appears that FedEx Smartpost drivers like to drive around in circles with the packages on their truck, because when I looked at the tracking for my package, it showed it leaving and then re-entering Grove City, OH for three straight days. But hey, it was free shipping, so who am I to complain? I just found it a bit amusing. It wasn't relevant to my review, so I didn't alter the rating for this. Did you find this review helpful?
