5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great for movies which is why I got it and has worked great for almost a year now.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you hate your drive spinning fast and getting loud watching a movie use a program like @nyDVD to slow it down !

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job well

Pros: Does what it's meant to do, hasn't broken or given any other problems.

Cons: None to think of.

Other Thoughts: I've had this drive for just over a year now. It's worked right out of the box and hasn't given me any problems thus far. In retrospect I wish I had shelled out a few more bucks for a CD/DVD burner, but if you're just looking for a simple CD reader, this drive will do you good.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat DVD-ROM Drive

Pros: Does its job.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Used this in my new computer, and after getting it all hooked up, it worked right away with no problems. Very good for building a system you don't plan on burning cd's/dvd's with. I put this into a new gaming system I built, since I only use my drive for installing games mostly :)

2 out of 5 eggsFailed in 6 months

Pros: It did its job while it worked.

Cons: It was noisy. I have an Antec miniP180 case and this drive was the only component I could hear.

6 months after the build the drive suddenly stopped reading DVDs. CDs it read fine, but it wouldnt read any sort of DVDs.

1 out of 5 eggsBlew up in a month and half

Pros: Worked for a month and half, started up my duplicator and it burned up. I love the smell of burnt electronics.

Cons: Out of Neweggs warranty, hopefully Liteon will replace it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: reads things well. does its job

Cons: THIS DOES NOT BURN CD'S OR DVD'S. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND ORDER IT THINKING THAT ALL DRIVES TODAY HAVE BASIC CAPABILITIES.

Other Thoughts: why do they even sell drives that can't read AND burn??

1 out of 5 eggsBlows

Pros: Really none

Cons: Slow for just a reader, never assumed speeds advertised, tried everything to achieve this, or at least 2 weeks+ of reading posts and setting tweaks. Ran straight off psu dedicated 12v. component lead, checked all leads off psu and all are within manuf. spec, even tried swapping NEW cables off psu, nada.

Other Thoughts: Why o' why did i not stick with Asus.....as for the 1 egg, I have owned and tried to resolve this for several months.
