4 out of 5 eggshefty touch screen that works

Pros: Well this the unit I got had a bad power adapter, with an output level of 12V & 3.0A it was not going to be easy to replace but I did have a power break that was just 0.05 amps off that did power the unit on. After setting it up and using it one Win 8.1 machine it worked as advertised. The could have provided a hefty power break instead of the pedestrian adapter that come with the unit.

Cons: As stated above the power adapter was DOA, I did contact the support for this and will let you know if they follow through with sending me a new adapter. For the size of the screen it is a heavy unit and may not be suitable if you plan on mounting it on a swiveling arm to make more room on you desk or for pure inconvenience.

Other Thoughts: Though it was a pain to receive something that wont power on, I was fortunate to have an adapter that would work, however this put my HP monitor out of commission, until I get the adapter replacement promised me.
This dose not give a worm fuzzy with Hanns but the unit does work well and the touch feels right, we will see.

1 out of 5 eggsStill no response from Hannspree

Pros: None

Cons: Fried the motherboard when I plugged the USB into my computer. Contacted manufacturer via email and a week went by without a response. I decided I would call them, they said they had no record of the email. I set up an RMA and they emailed me with information that was still needed. I was told that I would receive a response within 48 hours. I responded within an hour of receiving the email and now another week later, I still have no response. This customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I wish I was just able to get my money back and not bother with this manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: DON'T MESS WITH THIS MANUFACTURER. WORST QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: Monitor is sharp looking and has a great stand.

Cons: The first one I received was dead on arrival. I sent it back and my replacement died after a week. I sent that one back for a refund. I also own two other Hanns-G monitors and have been dealing with manufacturere warranty. What a nightmare. I iwll no longer buy Hanns-G or Hannspree products.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cheap Touchscreen Monitor

Pros: Cheap price, 10 point touchscreen, automatically configures in Win 7 Pro 64bit, good picture.

Cons: Backlit LCD so, not the best, cutting-edge picture like a IPS, Quality control seems very low.

Other Thoughts: I bought this on a whim, because it was so cheap. I just wanted to try out touch control of Windows 7 and certain programs. I am very pleasantly surprised. While the picture quality is not the best you can get (no surprise), it is very bright, clear and crisp. It looks way better than I anticipated it would (and I did not have adjust it).

The touch screen capability was recognized by Win 7 Pro 64 bit and it was immediately functional. I was prepared to wrestle a bit to get it working but, thankfully, I didn't have to do a thing. There are some decent time-saving things you can do when your monitor has touch control (not having to reach for the mouse for every cursor control is good if you move your hand off the mouse, as I do, often).

Quality control is a bit off as, like another reviewer, my unit has a small bit of plastic lodged between the front glass and the actual LCD display. It is not a dead pixel, but actually a piece of debris in front of the LCD that looks like a dead pixel. That type of thing just shouldn't happen in a monitor manufacturing facility. The speck in mine is located towards the top, mostly out of the way so, it's not a huge issue in my case but, if it were in the middle of the screen, it would be maddening. Maybe someday I'll open the thing up and remove it. Where it is located however, it doesn't bother me so much that I HAVE to do that.

4 out of 5 eggsRefurbished = better buy?

Pros: - low price
- large touch screen
- 1080p
- responsive touch

Cons: - didn't come with DVI-HDMI cable
- no built-in webcam

Other Thoughts: I took a chance buying this unit as refurbished. I figured refurbished products were examined and any bad/defective parts were replaced with better quality parts to avoid same issue. Product arrived in like new condition, so far so good, worked right out of the box, 1 year warranty parts/labor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat touchscreen monitor

Pros: For the price, this is an excellent touchscreen monitor. I have had no issues with the 3 I purchased from Newegg for my office. Employees love them. Makes Win 8.1 enjoyable. I don't know why other reviewers are complaining about the stand or build quality - both are much better than I expected at this price point.

Cons: The only drawback to this screen for office use is that it is VERY glossy and smooth. This makes it very reflective and a little slippery to touch.

Other Thoughts: Will buy more as I replace older monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my previous review

Pros: I finally rec'd the free laser printer. I connected the 23" touchscreen to my DELL Latitude 10 tablet and it works great. The touchscreen works with my tablet.

Cons: no remote with the monitor.
