4 out of 5 eggsNice screen

Pros: The screen is clear and bright. Touch is responsive and works great with Windows 8.1. It has low power consumption and stays cool. I don't know if I like the kickstand but you can pick it up and use it like a tablet I suppose.

Cons: I first tried this with Vista and it worked but not very well. Also, I had the problem of the monitor just loosing power at the slightest bump. I literally had to tip it forward and it would come back up. For both PCs I tried it on. Things finally worked when plugged into the USB port on the front of my case. (all USB 2.0s)

Other Thoughts: Wide bezel. Also, when using Eyefinity with multi monitors the touch registered is spread out to the entire desktop. This means you won't hit the mark on the Hannspree but will land on the left or right monitor. Maybe with practice or recalibrating it could work. If each screen is it's own desktop then it works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Mixed Feelings

Pros: Nice 1920x1080 23" big display. Very fast delivery from NewEgg.

Cons: Sometimes Kills Computers!

Other Thoughts: I've very mixed feelings on this one. I have 16 of these in a computer lab, 4 of which were just received from NewEgg. The first 10 were great. Then I got one that kills computers through the USB port, that is just not acceptable! That one monitor has killed 3 computers so far. (I know, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.)
It may be the case that the power has to be connected *after* the USB cable, but that's a stretch. On the last kill, I plainly saw a spark while connecting the USB cable. Both monitor and computer were plugged in, but not on.
On 3 of these monitors touch is not working (one of which I just received from NewEgg) and frankly, am afraid to connect the USB cable even for testing. I'm calling Hannspree tech support tomorrow, but don't have a very good feeling about that due to the other comments here,

1 out of 5 eggsVery low quality

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: On the second day it started turning off randomly. As I discovered through experience what helps is removing the usb cord that enables touch screen functionality. it works fine now as non touch screen monitor. I probably won't go through a hassle to return it, but I would just warn you if you are ok to end up with non touch screen monitor then you may give it a try. If touch screen function is the major reason you want this monitor then you should look at something else.

4 out of 5 eggsWhen it works it's very good

Pros: The screen has perfect color balance and the touch function feels better the an iPad. The external fit and finish is great but the hookey way some of the components are hooked together internally just big for problems to occur, the more you move it around the greater the chance of something coming unattached or shorting. Still it does work, eventually.

Cons: My original unit came in with a dead AC to DC wall jack adapter, trying to work with Hanns support is like hunting for unicorns, non existing. However Newegg did come to my rescue, I had to send the whole unit back, for a minor power adapter? still I did get the replacement unit and it worked perfectly, right out of the box, on the second try.

Other Thoughts: In the end, with the second unit it all worked out but I would caution anyone buying this or any other unit from this OEM until I see a jump in quality, inside and out, As of this writing the outside looks impressive while the inner-workings have much that needs to be addressed. If your not technical don't bother with this unit, on the other hand if you get one that works you should be happy with it, just don't move too many times and treat it with kid gloves.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat product when it works...

Pros: Works and looks great! Very sensitive touch and the picture looks outstanding!

Cons: Was over my Newegg warranty by one day and couldn't get it replaced (even though it took a week to receive and just connected it a couple of days before it went out). Now I have to go through Hanns G support and have gotten in a loop with them. Have tried emailing and calling, but they always ask to give them the same information in an email, then ask me to call. I bought this to use with our new lighting system in our church sanctuary which was just set up. So, only used it a couple of times before it went out and now we have no way of controlling our brand new $50,000 lighting system. The screen not only went out but it electrocutes you and sparks if you try to touch the VGA or any metal on it. So, I'm happy with the quality but the support sucks!! Also, I did buy 2 of these, but shortly sold the other to a customer of mine. So far, they've had no problems.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Worth it

Pros: Big, Cheap.

Cons: When I tried to connect the USB cable it shorted out the monitor. Anytime the USB cable gets near my PC it pops and the monitor goes black. I read some other reviews that had similar problems. Some even said it fried their mother board or USB hub.
Also, the bezel is huge, the speakers are completely useless, the stand is not very useful, and the the screen has a terrible glare. I thought I was getting a good deal on this, but it turned out to be to good to be true. I am afraid to even hook the monitor up anymore because I don't want it to ruin my computer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value, happy I purchased

Pros: Excellent screen quality. Colors are vibrant and viewing angles are good enough.

Touchscreen works great... with one NEEDED tweak. You will thank me for this. Go into the monitor menu with the buttons on the back of the panel and turn "Auto Search" to OFF!!!! If Windows turns off the screen, the monitor starts auto searching and the touchscreen turns on and off continuously as it flips from DVI to VGA. The windows sound for connecting a device and removing a device repeat forever. At first I was annoyed and just removed the sound from the sounds menu, but later I figured out what was happening and was so relieved when I make this tweak. Especially because the touchscreen stays active now and I can just walk up and tap the screen to bring back up my desktop.

The stand is good enough, it has decent tilt options and there are mounting screws on the back so you can attach to a wall, which is awesome!

THE PRICE. I got it on sale for 129$, and for that price this is a good screen even without the touchscreen. If the pixels work 100% I would pay about 200$ for this touchscreen no problem.

Touch worked instantly when plugged in USB, no need to install the driver disk. I am using Windows 8.1

Cons: Speakers are very very bad. For an office environment where you may need audio sometimes, but don't expect to play music this works well as you don't need extra speakers on the desk. But more or less they are very cheap and sound aweful. Use some good speakers for yourself. For the price, I could care less.

No HDMI, but then again I knew that when I purchased. There is a more expensive model that has HDMI, but for a desktop computer, I am happy using DVI. Plus, since the speakers suck so bad, HDMI is pointless here.

I have one bad pixel. I may go through the hassle of getting it replaced, unfortunately it is a hassle. There are always risks when you spend 129$ for a touchscreen LED monitor with built in speakers, and quality control may be one of them.

Other Thoughts: I would spend an additional 20$ for good speakers. Considering the quality, I almost prefer none on this model.

For under 200$ I still recommend. The monitor is thin and is very pleasing to look at. You will be proud to have it sitting on your desk. No one will no how little you spent, and they will all be impressed that it's a touchscreen.

In the end my only disappointment is my bad pixel. Nevertheless I bought 5 more.

5 out of 5 eggsNice big monitor

Pros: Nice bright colors. Fast response time. Easy setup. I bought 2 of them.

Cons: Awkward placement of buttons on the back of the screen - very hard to find the buttons. So sad that there is NO HDMI.

Other Thoughts: Wished it came with a regular base as well. I really wanted to tilt it more forward instead of just backwards.
