ASUS VS239H-P Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor 250 cd/m2 ASCR 50,000,000:1, IPS Panel

Pros: Awesome monitor for the price. The shipping was on time. This is my second time buy this monitor. Never had an issue with Asus brands.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Pros: Looks very nice from all angles. Everything that you expect from an IPS panel. All colors look good, no dead pixels. Newegg shipped it very fast as well. Some comments say that you can break the stand when trying to adjust it, but all you need to do is adjust the screw that tightens the stand, and it can easily be adjusted. I didn't have a problem with it and you shouldn't either. It's very bright at 100, you can even see what's on it with the sun hitting it.

Cons: -The stand is weaker than on other monitors but it's good enough to hold the monitor steady on the desk. If you have a shaky table, the monitor might wobble as well. I have a sturdy desk, so the monitor stays solid.

-The monitor comes with the brightness at 100, and I had to adjust it to 70 for it to not hurt my eyes, because it was too bright.

-The connectors on the back are perpendicular to the monitor, would be nice if they were parallel with cables hanging down, but that would make the monitor bulkier.

These are just minor details that you should be aware of, not necessarily cons. This is an awesome monitor especially for the sale price. I recommend getting it.

Other Thoughts: I want to get another one and and use a two monitor vesa mount. I might get to it eventually. The bezel on the side is 2cm, so if you have two of these monitors, you will have about a 1.5 inch gap between desktops.

Pros: It's perfect in every aspect which really makes me happy I got it. Vibrant color, solid white and fine texts which is great eye candy. This is the first time I've gone digital (DVI) and I'm amazed at the beauty of it.

Cons: Nothing wrong with it really but the brightness was at 100% when I got it. After I learned how to adjust it it was beautiful (and not so bright.)

Pros: Nice resolution, nice colors

Cons: The stand is awful. It's not level. I put papers under one end.
Also, it didn't auto sync with the HDMI. It stopped searching on VGA.

Pros: Everything looks good! Games like World of Warcraft and Diablo 3 look great. Monitor its self well worth the money(See Cons)

Cons: Stand is junk... less then 6 months and its already broken from sitting there.

Other Thoughts: I liked it enough to buy 2 more. The stand problem won't be a issue anymore since i got a 3 monitor stand to hold them all.

Pros: beautiful LED backlit monitor, looks great from multiple angles, great size, adjustable forward/back slightly

Other Thoughts: there seems to be a lot of complaints about the stand being unstable but I haven't experience this whatsoever. as long as your desk is stable then you will have zero issues.

Pros: Absolutely brilliant colors. I can actually see more than the basics now LOL. What's even better is that it doesn't dramatically change hue/brightness from a sitting to a standing position like it did with my LED monitors. I was skeptical about the change in upgrading to IPS but it's very noticeable.

Cons: I've gone through every type of ASUS monitor it seems and while the actual monitors themselves are always top notch, they couldn't choose cheaper stands if they tried. I always feel like the monitors are crooked.

Other Thoughts: I should have gone with IPS from the beginning. You're definitely going to have to turn down the brightness from 100 which is also something that seems to be an ASUS staple.

Pros: Very Bright!
No dead pixels, nice size overall, very inexpensive, excellent colors, no shadowing noticable in gaming or movies.

Cons: None - but it would be nice if the monitor pan/tilted/raise/lowered

Pros: Overall it's a very nice monitor. It works great, the picture usually (see cons) is great, and the settings choices are pretty thorough.

Cons: Pretty intense light bleeding from all corners. Basically unless I'm looking at it dead on, from 2-3ft away, and tilted all the way back, I completely lose any detail on darker images. An example that I use when showing it to people is the Dragon Age: Origins main menu. I point out the rocks, grass, all that, then tell them to raise their head a few inches, and it all disappears into this greyish smudge that radiates from the corners. It's barely noticeable when on the internet, but I play mainly games, and any time it's night or dark in the game I lose all dark detail in the corners.

Other Thoughts: I probably should have done more research on IPS monitors before buying it because light bleeding appears to be a common problem. If you don't think it'll bother you then there's absolutely no reason not to buy this monitor, it's great in every other field I can think of.

Pros: IPS Display, HDMI input, DVI and Analogue inputs work seperately, HDMI Audio Out, Sharp and bright picture, VESA mountable great price!

Cons: ASUS letters on the face can be easy to peel off on accident. Stand is short and doesn't allow swivling.

Other Thoughts: Amazing quality picture monitor for the price. I will be buying another one to complement this one and purchase a VESA mount for both because the stands just stink. They sit too low at my desk and I need adjustability. Also, it would be nice to be able to run such a sharp display in portrait mode for document reading. Definitely worth the price. I'm going to have 3.
