Pros: - By far the cheapest 1680x1050 monitor on Newegg.
- 1680x1050 on a 19" monitor gives a really nice sharp feel.
- 0 dead pixels on mine.
- I personally like the colors.

Cons: - No fancy features like a built-in webcam or USB ports.
- Backlight is obvious on a black screen if you're looking for it (not obvious enough to annoy me, though).
- Don't even think about using the speakers.
- It doesn't come with one of those stands that allow you to keep the monitor on its side and/or change its height.

Other Thoughts: - Fantastic budget monitor.
- I've never had a problematic ASUS product before.
- If you can afford it go for a 24" 1920x1200 monitor.
- Newegg's shipping is flawless. Only took 2 business days to get to me.

Pros: excellent monitor, used on a gaming pc, colors and contrast are GREAT, would highly recommend

Pros: Arrived well packed as per usual. Egg took 2.5 days after ordering on a Sunday evening.

Pretty darn crisp picture for the money.

Vista picked up the native rez. right away and re-set the desktop

Well, I suppose you could whine about the stand being a little more sturdy, etc, but c'mon. Go spend a hundred bucks more and you will get a more solid stand right?

Other Thoughts: This was for my 14yr old and is hooked to a Cyberpower machine we got a few weeks ago (Egg).
WoW just happens to have a widescreen mode that matches the native rez of this monitor. It looks very nice, nothing stretched, vibrant colors, etc.

I have to say, part of my decision to purchase was based on reviews. I am very happy with the Egg's review system and so far it has not let me down.

Pros: At 19" with a 1680x1050 resolution, this monitor is the perfect size for me. Came to me with zero dead pixels and plays games and videos flawlessly. You can't beat the price either!

Cons: Buttons are a little bit difficult to press, but that is hardly a con. Speakers are also very cheap, so if you plan on listening to music or gaming, I would recommend picking up a nice pair of speakers.

Other Thoughts: I almost went for a 19" 1440x800 resolution monitor, but I am glad that I spent a little more for the higher resolution.

Pros: Everything about this monitor is Pros!

The monitor is very clear, perfect picture, the adjustment buttons are easy to use, gotta love that 1680x1050 res!

Cons: None whatsoever!

Other Thoughts: I can even get it to do 1920x1080! But of course gonna leave it at it's Native Resolution

Pros: This monitor is truly amazing. Fits perfectly on my desk. The base doesn't allow for much of an angle change, but even the -5 to 20 degrees it does allow for is what saves me from having to place it somewhere else and raise it to eye-level. The base is also stable, despite what I was expecting as per other reviews.

The resolution is flawless. I'm running it on the recommended 1680x1050 resolution and the image is crisp and clear. The "Splendid" mode is superb, and the other settings allow for a wide variety of change for different situations.
ASUS did a wonderful job on this monitor; it's truly a masterpiece!

Cons: Nothing comes to mind except for the built-in speakers, but it's not really even a con. The small amount of sound that they provide is great as background music, as I have my front and back sound ports set to play two different sounds simultaneously, so I can have the monitor play game sounds and have my speakers play music.

Other Thoughts: Truly worth the buy. (:

Pros: No dead pixels.

Cons: All of the adjustment buttons are miniscule and virtually impossible to adjust when the monitor is on. I use it for stock charts and have found it impossible to see certain standard markings against the background.

Also there seems to be a short as the monitor has gone off a couple of times when bumped or shifted as if there's a short.

Other Thoughts: Trying to make adjustments is torture if their presets don't work for you and they don't for me. Overall, it's just too frustrating. Look elsewhere.

Pros: This monitor is great, especially considering the price. Good resolution considering that it is only 19".

Cons: The built in speakers are poor quality.

Pros: I got this for my wife when her old CRT monitor finally died. Arrived in 1 1/2 days with free shipping. No dead pixels. Great resolution and color saturation for the lower end price point.

Cons: Speakers but read below.

Other Thoughts: If you want to use the built-ins just keep your old ones hooked up and drop them under your desk. Then run the included cable from the amplified headphone jack on them to the monitor (that usually turns them "off" too). That will give you the volume you need. They aren't like the BOSE on our main PC but if all you need is sound you can hear, it a good workaround. And you can still use your old speakers by just unplugging the cable.
