Pros: It's an external hard drive...what more needs to be said? It's read / write speeds are average and so far it seems to be doing a great job.

Cons: The bus connector seems to be a little cheap and I'm afaird at somepoint it will get broken. The USB conector is not a usual type conector, so itf that also broke I am out of luck.

Pros: Got a pair of these for gifts to my daughters so they have for image HDD in windows 7 and 8 for their respective computers, I partitioned them for 2 images then the rest is set for data storage , was no problems with this and all went smooth and the girls are happy with them. If they are happy Daddy is happy

Cons: Price needs to come down some more yet

Pros: Sleek and fast. Decent read and write speeds (r/w speeds ~ 80-90 MB/s).

Pros: This plug and play beauty with native power makes backing up easy. Fast writes and no worries.

Cons: The software that comes with it didn't work, but it is so unnecessary, so no worries.

Other Thoughts: A good deal like always at NewEgg.

Pros: Slim Design, essentially the same diameter of a dime. When running the fan is slightly audible.

Cons: MADE IN CHINA, Assembled in Thailand. Fan can be heard. Packaging was pretty awful. Newegg shipped the product in a padded yellow envelope. Thats it! When I opened the yellow envelope, the box was clearly dented so my hard drive had to have been abused and beat up a little bit.

Other Thoughts: In the box, you only get the USB cord, hard drive, and warranty info.

Pros: -1TB for 79$ on sale!

Cons: -No rubber pads

Other Thoughts: This is drive is very quiet, fast and stable! But I recommend to buy rubber pads to glue them under because this drive has ABSOLUTELY no adherence on any surfaces. Other than this minor con, it's a great drive especially since I got it for 79$ on sale. And it matches my lenovo Y580! :P

Pros: bought this for my sister for christmas. they must be good because she went in bought 3 more of these. looks like these can be used internal and external because the usb plug detaches and reveals a sata and power hookup

Pros: Delivered on time in good packaging and undamaged. Simple to use, plugged it in and followed the simple instructions. Backed up my computer with no problems. Dashboard software is very easy to follow.

Other Thoughts: I bought this drive because I got tired of having to power down my systems to attach eSATA backup drives. I had to install Syba USB 3.0 cards in my machines to make them work with this 3.0 drive, but now I have hot swappable installation capability and backup capability at least equal in speed to eSATA. This drive is small, light weight, yet feels substantial due to its aluminum case. Gets its power from the USB port, so no external power adapter is required, which makes for a quick plug-in when needed, plus its size makes it convenient to store away. I've done 8 system image backups to it so far, and have been quite pleased. I hope it lasts. We shall see.

Pros: I've been using GoFlex for a couple years and yet have seen one of those die on me! They are fast, I love the cable that comes with it, even tough it is a proprietary, it gives me the flexibility to attach another drive to it and use it as an external, since it is a simple sata connection, besides the fact that YOU CAN buy replacements and they are affordable, convenient and easy to carry along. Since they have a standard sata connection you, also, can connect them directly into your desktop IN CASE YOU LOST YOUR CABLE!!! You can't beat that with any other solution on the market today. Don't stare at the failures as it can be a firmware problem and always check the failure rates you see here on the reviews. So far, I'm a seagate fan and customer based on the SUCCESS RATE I've seen hands on, not based on people's opinion. Great drives.

Other Thoughts: If you look into other brands, you will see that all of them have the same problems here or there so, don't fix your eyes on the problems only and try to read reviews in, at least, three different good sites before making a move. I'm buying another one today, as 69 bucks for a 1TB drive, you can't beat it. Warranty is great with Seagate. I'm a independent computer builder business and I recommend Seagate over any other brand any day or night. 20 years experience! Seagate bought out Maxtor and that brought in some of new ideas and concepts that improved their system and speed.
