5 out of 5 eggs32Mb. Cache Makes it Good

Pros: Still working two years later with an i5. Not as fast as a SSD but I can't compare it to that. It works just fine!

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsThe test of Time

Pros: I bought this drive in February of 2013, and with the "Power On Count" (according to Speccy) sitting at 1536 times, and the "Power On Time" of 320.0 days, I can say with great satisfaction that I picked a great HDD to trust with my data in my gaming rig.

This rig does not yet have an SSD, meaning that this drive has taken my gaming obsession on the chin for over a year.

Cons: None, and after 320 days spent being ON, that's saying something.

Other Thoughts: This rig is on unless I'm asleep.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive

Pros: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM SATA internal.

Got this June '13. Drive works great. No heat issues and it runs quietly. Speed is dead on. No data loss to date.

Friends told me I needed an SSD, but this has run Skyrim with 140+ mods and no problems.

Cons: Nada. Fulfilled my expectations.

Other Thoughts: I have not reformatted since the original install. Windows 7 Pro.

2 out of 5 eggsBe Warned

Pros: Worked for almost the two years manufactures warranty flawlessly

Cons: This drive is now failing 6 months short of the 2 year manufacture's warranty. Newegg return policy is 30 days. HOWEVER, when you use Seagate's Warranty Checker, it states the drive is an OEM and only covered by the seller. The Product page clearly states that it IS covered by Seagate, which it's not. Normally I have great experiences with Newegg, but this is, even if by accident, was sold falsely.

Other Thoughts: This ran in my NAS/Media server and was on for 24/7 but had sufficient cooling. It should have lasted longer....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Price, Great Drive

Pros: It's been a great drive, I've owned it for over three years and it's still going strong. I check my disks monthly to ensure they aren't about to fail and this thing is still going.

The 1TB 6.0Gb/s for 79.99 was a great price for the drive and it's awesome. Always been a fan of Seagate drives and they haven't let me down yet.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsStill Dead!!

Pros: not affected by gravity-still works as a paperweight--------

Cons: Never did get one that works. I sent the first one back only to get a refurbished one tht does not work...All at my expense for shipping!

Other Thoughts: I thought I would finally get a good hardrive from this company but the new owner WD makes sure the quality is the same as theirs-------c rap!
