Rating: 5/5Excellent True Small Business Appliance
Pros: Tons of features that I didn't expect to use. Since I have started using this NAS I have now setup the VPN and FTP servers.
Rsync feature is awesome - I have a NAS setup at a remote site and the two stay in sync together so if one fails I always have a file server up and running.
NetBak Replicator is a cool free software - I use the auto backup so the files I choose are always backed up to the NAS.
Setup is super easy and QNAPs user manuals cover everything in enough detail. The GUI interface is intuitive and easy to browseand use.
The biggest issues I had during setup were not related to the QNAP NAS. It was coming up to speed on basic network configuration so that I could utilize VPN and FTP that gave me pain.
This thing has tons of CPU and memory, you can upgrade the memory to 3GB for very little cost - I think I paid $15 for a 2GB module and it was super easy to install. This is good in case you plan to install anything else on the OS like media servers or databases - it should handle quite a bit.
Cons: Very pricey, but so far I have gotten what I paid for. So long as QNAP keeps updating firmware/features and the appliance stays up and running this thing will offset its price tag quickly.
Other Thoughts: The VPN services in this NAS were actually substantially faster than a Cisco Small Business router I had purchased for VPN explicitly. The router didn't have enough horsepower for encryption. The QNAP VPN doesn't have huge security setting but for moderate security it handles encryption well and was way faster than using a low end VPN router.
To access my files remotely and back up my PCs while out of office I actually use FTP. There is a great paid software called WebDrive that allows you to mount a FTP site like any other network drive in Windows and it works amazing. FTP speeds for file transfer were much faster for me than VPN.
I had a Minecraft server running on it for a while with no issues - probably not a huge business use feature ;-) but it highlights that this thing is a powerful linux box and can run quite a bit of services if you are linux savvy or don't mind doing some research.

Rating: 5/5Excellent Home NAS Solution
Pros: - Easy to setup - Quiet - Power Efficient - Good media streaming ability X360 - Plenty of services to make the most use out of the hardware ie. FTP, Web, Antivirus scan of your data - Notifications - Firmware update is easy - Overall great device
Cons: - no deal breaking gripes, this runs great
Other Thoughts: - initial sync after you make your array will take some time my 8TB Raid 6 - i had old firmware on mine and noticed there was a smb fix that 'only worked' on a specific firmware... they did not clearly express if the fix was in the newest version was included or not. I could not rollback my firmware to install the fix to be sure.

Rating: 5/5Great Performance
Pros: I got this new TS-469-PRO few weeks ago, this is a very nice solid machine. Easy to set up and deploy. The performance is impressive as it has a slightly faster atom processor (2.13GHz) then the ts-659.
Cons: So far it is running pretty good. This device does everything it was expected to do. Will try to update my review/rating if something changes with the product or support.

Rating: 2/5Worked great for 2 weeks
Pros: Works great. Very flexible to do many different things.
Cons: Quit reading the disks after about 2 weeks. When trying to reboot, it gets stuck during the reboot process. Pulled all the disks and then it reset itself back to factory defaults. Tried to re-install everything from scratch, but still won't boot with any disks installed.
Other Thoughts: Will try again with a replacement.
