5 out of 5 eggsHit the Ground Running

3 out of 5 eggsFast but DOA again

Pros: The XMP profile kicks these in to the correct speed.
Fast for the sticks that work.

Cons: This is the second set I have bought of G.skill RAM with 1 of the 4 sticks DOA. Its either RMA one stick and wait for them to take the sweet time testing or RMA all 4 again to Newegg and wait for another 2 weeks to finish my build. Its a lose lose situation and I am tired of paying for shipping on defective products.

Other Thoughts: A lot of people like G.Skill but I just do not seem to have luck with them. Two different computers with 2 different sets of ram and 1 DOA module in each. Will go with Corsair vengance from local dealer next time so I can get my computer running in a timely manner. The ones that do work are blazing fast.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: What can I say. Ram works as advertised. Settings things manually (i don't trust auto or XMP due to every board manufacturer is different.) everything works! Nice speed and great price.

Cons: Nothing really to say. No doa's just set and forget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for people who "really" have 5 Egg Tech Knowledge

Pros: Stable at 2133 MHz with timings tightened to 9-10-10-28, haven't gone further...yet. 1.6 volts to RAM. CPU-NB Frequency 2200, HTLink 2200. HTLink voltage-Auto. CPU-NB Voltage - 1.3

Runs like a dream.

Cons: People who tag themselves as four and five egg tech knowledge and post that their reading is 800 or 1066 MHz and have zero idea what DDR stands for, or who run CPU-NB frequency at 2800 MHz on a Vishera and their RAM Frequency is 1866/2133 tops...

16 GB (4x4) G.Skill Ripjaws 2133 MHz DDR 3 RAM

1 out of 5 eggsRuns at half the speed

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Runs at half the speed I set the clock at consistently. If I say 1600, it says 800. If I say 2133 it says 1066. Just bought $4k in sweet parts and now I've got to wait a month to use it to return RAM... Hommie don't play that. Goodbye GSkill.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can surely clarify the confusion you have. Depending where you read DRAM frequency, it can be showing real (bus) frequency or effective (DDR3) frequency. Real frequency will be mentioned as "MHz", 800MHz. Effective frequency will be mentioned as "DDR3-xxxx", DDR3-1600. DDR is double data rate, so if you see 1066MHz, that means DDR3-2133. As long as you input settings correctly in BIOS/EFI, or enable the performance profile, everything will run as specified. You can use a memory benchmark test to determine overall performance, that will show you all the effective DRAM values since it tests memory maximum capabilities. You can also try other memory, but you will experience the same thing. Based on your statement, the memory is working to specification. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for me

Pros: Run fine at 1600Mhz

Cons: Can't get to work at 2133Mhz with its timing and voltage.

Other Thoughts: Manually set at 2133Mhz, Timing 11-11-11-30, NB frequency 2200Mhz, 1.6 to 1.65 Dram Voltage, 1.1625 to 1.5 CPU/NB voltage
everything else at default(AUTO)
NO luck (Unstable)
Clear Cmos, remove battery&Back in, reset RAM etc.
EOCP/DOCP with the same seting above still NO luck (Unstable)

Work perfectly fine with default speed 1600Mhz

Latest Bios 1604
Asus M5A99X EVO
FX-8350

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We can surely help you stabilize this high speed memory kit in your AMD platform. One immediate problem we see with your settings is your CPU/NB Voltage. This value should be ~1.25V for four modules of DDR3-2133. 1.50V is much too high and that can cause major instability. Make the change, keep DOCP/EOCP enabled, and it should work like a charm. With 16GB of DDR3-2133, your computer will be very fast and stable on a daily basis. You should never experience any lag or delays. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.
