1 out of 5 eggsBottlenecking!

Pros: If I had an Intel Cpu I could comment here

Cons: SOOO, I'm having issues with this RAM Right and like what's up, Then I dig deeper,*** It is not set up for my build.***
I have an AMD build. AMD = AMP Profiling.
Intel <----- Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) technology provides a robust, profile-based overclocking solution for novice and experienced overclockers – OK AGAIN.. AMD <---??
I called G.Skill, it is compatible, Meaning the board will accept it
But I can't profile cause It's XMP, NOT AMP.
It's my fault I should have read a bit deeper.
So, I guess now I need to get some AMP RAM for AMD CPU
Especially since I have a new 6770 card.
You Know I don't RMA! So you got me!

And THIS machine is DRAGGING! WIN 7/64 BIT. My 4gb dr2 E8400 on an Intel board is faster.
I CAN'T profile ram in BIOS!
Everytime I try my Wonderful Stock heatsink sounds like a blender.

Other Thoughts: It took me 20 minutes of looking at my products to find the problem.
Hey is it a bad idea to put Intel XMP sticks
On an AMD Chipset MOBO W/ a AMD CPU
and an AMD Discrete APU W/ an AMD 2gb ddr3 Paired PCI 16-3
Again, MY FAULT, I should have caught that!!
The CPU overheats evertime I try to Profile W/AMP in BIOS.
Will let me go order RAM, Everyone enjoy stick vs snake day!

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

This RAM works great in AMD builds. There are many different names for memory profiles, but they are work the same way. The purpose of the profiles is to allow the motherboard to automatically detect and configure RAM settings to run at full speed. Without the profile, you can even manually input the basic DRAM settings and it will work great. If you would like help settings this up, contact the support team with hardware information and they can show you the potential of this RAM in your computer. The memory controller is on the CPU, so with DDR3-1600 > DDR3-1866 > DDR3-2133+, it's normal for CPU temperature to increase with each level. For this reason, it is best to use an aftermarket CPU cooler. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggs100% Awesome and Stable Ram

Pros: Easy install, Fast, 100% Reliable very stable even at 4.7 overclock ASRock Extreme 6 z97 Motherboard 4790K with stock intel cooler, Memory stays very cool. Sales on this Memory are fantastic, Newegg sells as low as 54.99 add your email to Neweggs price alert and you won't regret it.

Cons: Should come in different colors to help the custom PC builders match their PC themes.

Other Thoughts: I have used many memory brands, but Gskill has always worked and did it with outstanding stability and performance balanced credentials, I truly believe Gskill is in it to win it! Make Sure your BIOS Is set to auto XMP Profile or XMP 1 and thats it.
DO NOT OVERCLOCK WITH INTEL STOCK CPU COOLER, CPU TEMPS WILL CLIMB. BUY GOOD QUALITY AFTERMARKET COOLER!

5 out of 5 eggsVery satified overall

Pros: Good speed, amazing price (Black Friday-$54) , and seems pretty reliable. For the most part plug and play (Minor adjustments)

Cons: The only issue I had initially was setting the speed (If this even counts as a con). I'm using this with an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard and it was defaulted to 1600 but a couple clicks through the BIOS settings and everything was good to go. Very simple, and definitely not worth taking an egg off.

Other Thoughts: Overall ram is ram, I was initially torn between corsair vengeance and this but the G Skill ended up going on sale for $50. You really can't go wrong for $50 dollars. I plan on order (2) more 4gb sticks soon!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, easy to work with, small packaging, cheap for CAS 9 1866 RAM.

Cons: The heatsinks are a little silly but hey, they were cheap. Might be a concern for small builds with minimal room.
